This is Karmin's second album, the first being their EP "Hello" which was absolutely amazing. So, does Pulses live up to the hype?

1. Geronimo Intro: Though this was only a 40 second song it starts off Karmin's album with a really upbeat little tune that foreshadows what this album will be, an amazing and very upbeat funky ride. (5 out of 5)

2. Pulses: This track is an amazing way to start off the album. The chorus to this song is spectacular and Amy shows off her amazing rap skills on this track. This is a song that you can put on repeat for awhile. (5 out of 5)

3. Acapella: This song is probably the most unique song on this album. It has very different sound compared to a lot of the other tracks on this album. And this song is unique in a good way! It's definitely a catchy tune that will make your feet tap and definitely a song to listen with friends. A problem I have with the song though, is that the chorus gets kind of annoying after awhile, but it's still a great song to listen to. (4 out of 5)

4. I Want It All: This is probably my most favorite song on this album! It reminds me of an 70's or 80's song. This is the kind of song that will get stuck in your head all day and put on repeat all day. Probably the catchiest song on this album. It's funky and will make you want to dance! (5 out of 5)

5. Night Like This: This is a kind of song that you would dance in the club to. It's a fun song to listen to! (4 out of 5)

6. Neon Love: Probably the most slowest song on this album compared to the rest. This is when Amy gets to show off her vocals with this amazing love song. It has powerful lyrics and is quite beautiful. (5 out of 5)

7: Drifter: It took me awhile to get use to this song.

Rant first, It's taken several years to get this album out, not the bands fault, but rather the record companies failings. If the album had been originally released as planned Karmin could have used the success of their biggest hits Broken Hearted & Hello to help promote this album, instead they don't get the publicity they could have.

Anyway, the album. The band have played a lot of the songs from the album on their live tour, so a lot of the songs are familiar to me. There are some forgettable tracks, but there's a great variety of sounds on the album, no more so than the track Gasoline.

If you're a Karmin fan then buy this album, help give them the success they deserve.

Can't wait to see them in concert in Des Moines in just over a month

Can't get the songs out of my head, especially Pulses, Acapella, and I Want it All.
On first listen, I had mixed feelings, but with a few more listenings, the songs quickly grow on you. I like that he is singing more on some tracks too. Glad to see them finally release their first full album.

I've been a Karmin fan since the YouTube days. I didn't exactly love the EP Hello, but this album is completely different. It's literally perfect and everything I could have wanted. Absolutely worth the money.

In a day where there is so much crap out there and artists think they need profanity to sell records, Karmin offers fun upbeat music to enjoy, through both their covers and their original music.

I am a HUGE fan of Karmin since the beginning and since its their debut album I had to buy it. :D

The album has great songs, not a big diversity of the type of songs though. but for sure there's a couple catchy songs that u can sing along to in the car. For example, Acapella, I Want it All, Tidal Wave, Puppet, Try Me on, and What's in it for me.
I did have a problem getting the mp3 versions of the songs. Even though I purchased the songs I could not get the mp3s on the cloud player. :|

Almost 2 years ago while browsing YouTube, I happened to stumble upon a video cover of Chris Brown's "Look at me Now". I watched it and was amazed, I've never seen a girl rap so fast...she kept up with the rap verse effortlessly so from then on, I was instantly hooked on Karmin. I watched everything they put on YouTube, always wondering when someone would stumble upon their exceptional talents and sign them to a major album deal. I was extremely ecstatic to find out that they were sign by Epic records and working on a EP titled "Hello". I bought "Hello" as soon as it dropped and I was not disappointed, so when I heard that they were looking to put out a full length album soon; I couldn't hide my excitement.

Two years and two singles later, "Pulses" arrive right at a time when the heavily overplayed pop tunes on the radio are beginning to take their toll. Right out the gate comes the harmonious intro that is "Geronimo". What I love about it is how nice Amy & Nick's voice sounds together without any instrumentation in the background. From there, the album kicks into full force with "Acapella", a bass-savvy track with a chorus that will get stuck in your head. My all time favorite track from this album has to be the infectious disco-esque little diddy called "I Want It All". A few tracks of this nature comes around every now and again (i.e. Daft Punk & Pharrell's "Get Luck" or Beyoncé's "Blow") that captures 80's/early 90's disco so vividly, turning it into a superb mix of old & new. Upon listening to the whole album uninterrupted, it's first impression is excellent lyrical content, very catchy, hook driven songs with the divine ability to make you want to dance...no matter where you may be playing the album.
