5.0 out of 5 stars Wonder Stick
Recently I had two bathrooms remodeled. It didn't take long before I noticed stained rings around my new commodes. I honestly can say I tried just about every product on the market to clean the ever-increasing ring around. Then I read about this scouring stick. I was hesitant at first to even order this stick for fear of damaging my new commodes. Finally, I thought...

2.0 out of 5 stars Less than what I expected
I used a pumice stone in the past but haven't been able to find one in retail stores, so I purchased this item. It's no better than a scouring pad.

With a regular pumice stone, I could easily remove a ring stain in the toilet bowl without any scratching of the porcelain. With this scouring stick, the lime stain could not be removed even though I wore down...

Finally, I thought what do I have to lose. This scouring stick has been able to do what brand cleaners could not. And, it is so easy. No chemicals, no strong odors. You simply rub the stain and almost like magic it disappears. I really do not under-stand why such a product does not appear on store shelves.

This pumice stick is GREAT for getting hard water stains off of porcelin. We have very hard water where I live, and this takes it off well. The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is that it takes a bit of elbow grease. Not too much, but there is some scrubbing that needs to be done.

I live in an area with well water, and all the mineral
deposits stain the inside of the toilet. I've tried everything
to get them off...soaked in Comet overnight, bleach etc....
This pumice stick works, but you really have to put some elbow
grease into it to rub stains off...Immediate results though!
I would purchase again.

5.0 out of 5 stars 3 toilet bowls + 15 mins + 1 pumie stick = 0 toilet bowl rings!, June 20, 2010
This review is from: U. S. Pumice HDW-12 Pumie Scouring Stick
Wow! This thing really works like magic! I read about this Pumie stick from Amazon.com review and I thought I would give it a try. I moved into a new house 5 years ago, but after a while toilet bowls were getting this ugly brown rings. I've tried all kinds of cleaners, but were not effective.

But after getting a stick of Pumie and I scrubbed and within 5 mins, one toilet bowl was FREE from the ring! It was gone! I couldn't believe my eyes!!! So I immediately moved on to rest of the toilet bowls and the rings were gone from them too! My toilet bowls do look brand new!

Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars THANK YOU PUMIE STICK!, April 6, 2010
This review is from: U. S. Pumice HDW-12 Pumie Scouring Stick
After taking a vacation and letting our toilets sit with the clorox blue water in them for about two weeks we returned home to blue-rimmed stained toilet bowls. I tried EVERYTHING you can possibly think of to try to get rid of the stains. I even emptied the water to use a mr. clean magic eraser! NOTHING worked. Bleach only turned the blue stains green! I just happened to come across this at walmart one afternoon and THANK GOD I did! Not only that but it is 100% safe. No harsh chemicals! I cannot believe it worked as great as it did and I have reccomended it to everyone I know haha. I will be buying many more!

We have a water well/septic tank. I've tried everything to get the water stains off our toilets, but nothing worked. I came across an article that suggested these pumie sticks. They worked like magic. My toilets look brand new again and there are no harsh chemicals that harm our septic tank. No scratching either. I'm stocking up on these things.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works great but wears out fast!, August 13, 2010

Like many other reviews, this thing works on toilet rings like magic. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it wears out rather quickly. By the time my toilet shined like new, a third of the stick was gone (Admittedly the toilet was quite ugly to begin with). No big deal. But buyers like you may want to know this.

The Pumie Scouring Stick is awesome!

I had cooked something in my gas oven that made a gigantic greasy mess. I first tried using Easy Off Oven cleaner overnight. It did not remove any of the greasy stain.

Then I read online about someone using a pumice stone. I pulled out my brand new Pumie Scouring Stick that I bought two years ago to use on something else. In less than 10 minutes the whole bottom (removable panel) of my gas oven was sparkling clean. All it took was water and the stick. I scrubbed it and now I can bake in my oven again!

Best part is that I'll never use Easy Off again. The Pumie Scouring Stick is clean and odor free, environmentally and respiratory (I have respiratory issues) safe.

The price is a steal compared to other oven cleaners.

This pumice stick is wonderful. I moved into a new home with very hard water a few years ago. I had terrible iron stains in the toilet bowls that I could not get out with all those horrible smelling chemical products that promise to remove the stains. The Pumie stone worked wonders. The stains came out with just a little scrubbing and the porcelin did not scratch. My toilet bowls look brand new again. I would strongly recommend this product for hard water stains!!!
