I came close to purchasing this cookbook until learning that some of its recipes are flawed. I made this discovery after running a Google search on the book and here is what I found:

Pumpkin Patch Cookbook Corrections
Please make the following corrections to the cookbook: Page 14. Microwave Pumpkin Seeds - this recipe is wrong. The correct recipe is
Microwave Pumpkin Seeds
pumpkin seeds 1 tbsp butter 1/4 tsp seasoned salt
as follows
Line a 9" pie plate with paper towels and sprinkle with a single layer of washed and dried pumpkin seeds. Microwave on high for 13-14 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes. Melt butter in a 2 cup glass measuring cup. Add pumpkin seeds and seasoned salt. Toss to coat evenly. Serve as a snack or garnish.
Page 46. Pumpkin Cakes - the icing should contain 1 8oz pkg of cream cheese, NOT 11
(unless you really really like cream cheese!) Page 48. Pumpkin Cheesecake II - the recipe should contain 3 egg yolks, not 2.
Also add 1/4 tsp cloves to the spices Page 50. Apple Pumpkin Pie - add 1/8 tsp cloves to the spices
Page 51. Instant Pumpkin Pie - line two of the directions should read... Add pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and 2 cups thawed cool whip. Page 62. Pumpkin Ice Cream - make corrections to the following ingredients 3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar We apologize for any inconvenience that these errors may have caused.

While it is unknown if this above list covers all the flawed recipes, I did not want to take a chance on another cookbook containing possibly untested recipes. For those looking for a good pumpkin cookbook, I recommend "Pumpkin, A Super Food for all 12 Months of the Year" by Dee Dee Stovel and "The Great Little Pumpkin Cookbook" by Michael Krondl. Both received very positive reviews and the recipes to me look promising. I will be using both this Thanksgiving.
