Looking for feedback. I ordered this and gave it to my son for his 7th birthday. However, there is not much of a water flow/spray into the balloon. My husband seems to think that the pump is defective. I mean, if we're pumping up and down rapidly and then pressing the lever for water flow, shouldn't there be more pressure action rather than a slow trickle of water? It's been pretty disappointing over the last couple of weeks and causing frustration for my son. Lend me some insight into how it's working for you all!

First of all the water balloons that come with this pump are very poor quality. Many were already broken or broke before filing. I purchased some at the dollar store that worked fine. I would suggest when ordering to have some extra balloons from another source or the toy will be frustrating. My son actually liked the pump itself. My son loves toontown and the pump is just like a gag that is used in the game. The first 2 days , he used just the pump to spray people. He liked it better then a water gun. After that I bought the better balloons and used then with both water and air. It is not easy to tie as described. The ties that come with the kit are just thread. I ended up hand tying them. The pump started to not work as effectively after about a week. It still pumps up the ballons, but it is hit or miss, sometimes taking 3 or 4 tries. I would recommend getting this but not for the balloon or the tying feature. It is easier to use then the kitchen sink, as long as you have some patience. For the kids that used this I would recommend at least being 8 before letting a child use this alone or it might frustrating.

This was a gift for my 5 year old daughter. She instantly was fascinated with this and would play for an hour at a time with it inside with just air! Now we take it outside and fill it with water to make water balloons. My daughter and her friends NEVER get tired of playing with this! What a great idea! It is a hit!!!

I typically do not take time to write reviews but I was so impressed with this, I had to let others know that its time to pump up water balloons the EASIER way! I mean, I was literally getting my fingers all red having to constantly pump up water balloons for my kids every summer and this summer I was going to just not even bother. A light bulb came and I thought to myself, hmm, there must be something BETTER that will help to make the process of pumping up water balloons alot easier. And as a skeptic, I thought this was another product that is just not going to cut it. Took the chance, what the heck and I was pleasantly surprised that it works! I had to stand over the kitchen sink for awhile as I didn't want water to get everywhere but when I compared it before of how I was doing it, this was definitely ALOT easier to fill and my fingers weren't cramping up. The positive reviews for this product were all true. It's definitely worth the $ if you are pumping up lots of water balloons. It can also be used for regular air-filled balloons, perfect both ways.

I ordered several of these for my son's 6th Grade Graduation party. They were a huge hit! It's always a pain filling water balloons with those small nosels that you attach to the end of a hose. If you turn the hose on too high, the water gushes out, sometimes causing the balloon to come off and getting everybody wet. Or, the tip goes shooting off, or water squirts back at you - also getting everyone wet. Then there is the repeated turning on and off of the hose, which causes mud, etc. This fills the balloons without all that trouble. This container can even be filled at a sink! It is a great way to fill water balloons at a sink, in a boat, etc. The pumping is a bit of a pain. More annoying is having to unscrew the top every time you need to refill the container. A pop-on, tuperwear style top would be better. But, overall I really like this product. The kids at the party figured out that these could be used as "squirt guns" and started using them as such! Lots of fun!

Update: My son is having a B-day party tomorrow. The kids are going to launch water balloons off a trebuchet. I filled a bunch of water balloons today, using this device, at the kitchen sink. I only got wet when the water balloons popped or had a hole in them (a defect of the balloons, not this device.) The rest of the kitchen stayed dry and clean. I LOVE this product!

We bought two of these for our children neither of them ever worked. We went on the website to make sure we were using them correctly and we were. The children were disappointed and so were we. Do not waste your money.

This was so much fun for my 5 year old. He has spent many days and hours playing with it making dry and wet balloons. He is able to do pretty much all on his own - sometimes needs help tying the balloons.

Great product. Easy for the kids to use and eliminates fights over who gets to use the hose next. I got one for each kid. No giant mud puddles anymore either.

Love this product! All of our hose and sinks are too big to fill up a water balloon and the small plastic attachments don't fit either. I ordered this for a block party we were having as I thought the kids could organize a water balloon toss. Everyone at the party loved this and had so much fun using. It is so easy to work and really is a great product for the summer. I liked it so much, I ordered a spare for next year. The kids also have as much fun using it to just blow regular balloons too (no water).
