Excellent Read,
By Simon Rondepelle (Seattle, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Punch Lines: Berger on Boxing (Hardcover)
This book by the late Mr. Berger casts an unflinching gaze into the world of boxing. He chronicles triumphs and tragedies with equal skill and insight, and each vignette is presented in a style that is easy to read yet utterly compelling. It leaves the reader with an appreciation for the demands the sport places on a person's body, psyche, and life, and enlightens the dark netherworld of those who operate behind the scenes. Highly recommended
