This is country singer-songwriter Josh Turner's 5th studio album titled 'Puching Bag'. The CD (12 tracks) is a collection of great country music by Josh Turner about love as well as the gospelly "Pallbearer" & " For The Love Of God", showing his Christian roots/side. His vocal range is infectious as ever on this CD. Stand-outs/gems/solid tracks include "Deeper Than My Love", "Good Problem", "Whatcha Reckon" & my personal favourite "I Was There" (slow-tempo track with wonderful melody). His critically acclaimed 2010 CD release 'Haywire' had two #1 singles, hopefully he may do the same from this CD 'Punching Bag'. Great tracks include "Punching Bag" (title track following the annouchment by the legendary Michael Buffer in track one), "Time Is Love", "Cold Shoulder" (incredible baritone vocal range vocals) & "Find My Baby". Okay tracks are "Pallbearer" (gospelly track), "For The Love Of God" & "Left Hand Man".

On overall, Josh Turner doesn't disappoint in this 5th studio album. His vocal range is incredible, a highly recommended CD listening.

Let me just say that this is a wonderful CD. It is not perfect, but is an excellent example of easy listening, classic country music. After a run-through the seasoned country fan will see the differences in how Josh Turner does not follow strictly some of the more pop-oriented country that is beginning to take over the CMAs.

Josh stays true to his roots and this selection of songs puts you in your imaginary seat at the Grand ol' Opry. Simple, clean, not much overproduction, just a good solid country album with quality singing throughout from the Josh T. we have come to expect.

My only qualms with the CD is that it probably overemphasizes the one on one relationship between man and woman a bit too much and Josh doesn't deliver his "long black train" baritone with enough regularity. Would prefer an album with a larger variety of subject material.

Nevertheless, the songs are quite good and very country--in a good way! Well worth the purchase and fully deserving of 5 stars. A great introduction into the country genre for new fans, or a mainstay for those already fans.

A strong album that just keeps getting stronger as it goes. Josh's voice sounds better than ever, and he's got a great collection of songs with his trademark traditional sound. I especially love "Cold Shoulder" and "Pallbearer," and most of all the delightful "Find Me a Baby"!
