This review is from: Punk '77: An inside look at the San Francisco rock 'n' roll scene, 1977 (Paperback)
I actually got this book at the garage sale that Vale (the publisher) had a few weeks back and it was a fun experience in itself. The book is loaded with great pictures and interviews with a lot of the local scenesters in SF before the decline of the initial scene by "jock-punks" from the suburbs. I recommend this book to anyone with an interest in underground American history. I was actually mostly impressed with the socio-economic situation which existed at the time, the book delves into that aspect via the interviews quite a bit!
