I really don't understand why people don't like this album.
For the most part the covers stay true to the original songs and don't alter them terribly,
which is nice to recognize the actual song.
If you don't like the bands listed on this cd then obviously don't buy it.
I've always liked the "Punk Goes" series and still do with this cd.
If you buy this cd and expect something other then punk bands doing covers of old songs
which seems to be the case with many people reviewing this you will be dissapointed.
If you liked any of the other "Punk Goes" cds you'll like this one too.

I've been making my own "punk cover" mix CDs for years. That fact, paired with another (my love for classic rock), made this CD a given.

I love most of the tracks, although I do skip a couple like Rock N' Roll All Night and All Along the Watchtower, but that's only because I don't like the originals.

For what it's worth, I have no interest in any of the bands on this CD outside of their tracks featured.

This is a fun CD for road trips and sunny days with the windows down.

For some reason people always hate on cover albums. It's sad really. How anyone can't appreciate a fresh new take on an old standard is beyond me. I'm a huge fan of covers when they're done right, and for the most part, this one is done very well. Some of my favorites are "Free Fallin" by The Almost and (most of) "Bohemian Rhapsody" by NeverShoutNever! If you're looking for some cool punkish takes on songs this country loves, then look no further. Punk Goes Classic Rock will do you good.

I'm a huge fan of if not all, most of the bands signed to fearless records, but a lot of the Punk goes.. albums just don't measure up, this one on the other hand is alot better than quite a few of the others.

The Maine - Pour Some Sugar On Me , Blessthefall - Dream on , The Almost - free fallin'. those are some of the top song from the compilation but the whole thing is good for the most part, if you're going to get one of the Fearless record albums this would be one of the ones to get along side Punk Goes 80's , punk goes pop 1 & 2.. 3 didn't measure up and both of the Acoustic album are fantastic choices as well, with a lot better known artists

I love most types of music. One of the best parts of these cover CD's is being able to hear a new band that you may not have heard before. I can honestly say that I like all the songs on the album and even the bonus disc as well. The only part that I find disappointing is that they don't stray to far from the original. I don't mind you changing it up as long as you keep the spirit of the original. I like The Almost and Mayday Parade for their spunk, but they didn't make these songs their own, it was painfully true to the orignal artists. All in all, definitely worth a spot in your CD player and on your MP3 player.

While some have criticized this album for not being "punk enough", I think it's great. Now I'll admit that you won't hear anything like the stuff we heard back in the 70's and 80's, but you will hear a new twist on some great classic rock. All four of us listen to it and it is rapidly becoming a favorite whenever we drive someplace. We all have our favorites, my personal fav is "Paint it Black" while my wife prefers "Crazy Train" and my daughter and son prefer "Free Fallin'" and "Dream On". It's a great way to get the kids to listen to some of the stuff we grew up on.

Well, I have the Before You Were Punk CDs, and I really like them. This one sounds a lot like the cast from Glee or something, it doesn't sound punk at all... It's not like they're BAD covers, they just don't have any kind of edge to them. So I don't really like it that much.

These are performed by punk artists who obviously love and appreciate the original versions as much as I do. Loved the extra textures added with pumped up punk performances, while still showcasing the enduring legacy of the original artists!
