4.0 out of 5 stars Love it for what it is November 22, 2011
Format:MP3 Music
I'm not quite sure why--but quite often an excellent cover can be better than the real thing. Punk Goes Pop remakes all the catchy but slightly annoying now radio hits from the past year in a fresh way. Not all of the covers are created equally--but overall it's just a fun record. Brilliant--no, Fun--yes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not Great. November 21, 2011
Format:Audio CD
I've listened to this album a few times now, and I fugured it would grow on me as the other punk goes albums do. This one has not. There a few decent songs on this album, but not really any epic song that I could listen to over and aver again, but that happens when all of the original songs they coverd in this album sucked. Also there are a bunch of no name bands on here. When I hear covers of songs, I like to hear them by bands that are good, not some garbage nobodys. The "Bonus Disc" I Got with mine was better then the actual CD, although they are not covers of other songs. Overall I'm just disappointed in the direction they went with this album.

3.0 out of 5 stars Screamo ruins it
I used to really enjoy this series of albums, but the last few have been nothing but screamo crap. Punk goes 90s and 80s, and acoustic were fantastic! Read more

As with most entries in the Punk Goes... series some of the songs are better, some are worse, and some should never have been done in the first place. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Punk goes Pop
It's an okay album, I only really like a handful of songs on it.... I wouldn't suggest purchasing unless you like all the artist, not just the songs

The CD is amazing! All of the songs are perfecting re-mix. But I dont recommend it to someone who isnt a die hard screamo fan or that hates songs with cuss words in it. Read more

Some of the songs on the CD were really good like the Adele Rolling in the Deep cover, but there were more than a few songs that sounded like bad covers. Read more
