5.0 out of 5 stars An All Time Great
From the first time I heard this album I became an immediate DBL fan. If you like smart, sometimes funny, sometimes serious lyrics with great straight ahead rock melodies there are few if any albums better than this one. I can't recommend this album highly enough.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great album, could be better
This really is an awesome album, and has some of their best songs ever, like "Bright Green Globe." The downside is the annoying, non-melodic voice on many of the tracks, like the voice in "Flower Tattoo." That doesn't sound like Smalley singing, and he really brings down the music quality. I liked 'Blue' and 'Last of the Sharpshooters' better.

4.0 out of 5 stars buy this album for heroes and hooligans, October 17, 2008
heroes and hooligans is by far the best dbl song out there. there are a couple other ones worth mentioning like sympathy for the world and maybe 1944 (maybe) but this song has an absolutely perfect rythm guitar and appropriate vocals. i recommend just downloading the one song but if you can get the album used get it, it's worth the few bucks you'll undoubtedly pay.

I'm not a huge Down By Law fan, but this is a awesome album. From melodic to hardcore to straight out punk this has it all. I think every true punk fan should have this album amoung his/her collection.

Why are their CDs all listed as CD-Rs?! Somebody must have screwed up because these are certainly NOT CD-Rs. There is a difference between a CD and a CD-R. Please correct the listings. These are legitimate Epitaph releases.

One of the best punk albums ever put together. This one had it all. Their other stuff was not as good, but this one blew me away.

This is quite truly one of my favorite albums. The only reason I bought it was someone else made me listen to it. There other stuff might be poor, but they got there act together for this one.
