Adios OV7,

I bought this CD a few months ago, and enjoy every minute of it! I can hear it without skipping a track, their fast songs are incredible, as well as thier soft songs. My favorite songs on this album just to name a few are: Es Mas Amor, Te Quiero Tanto, Tanto, Tanto, my Ultimate favorite Shabadabada (if I spelled it correctly) Buy this CD if you get the chance.

Total Disappointment. To be their last CD. Is just bad, It does not even include new versions of the songs, except for three. They did not include any of the songs from their first CD. The only good song is "No me Voy".

Their Greatest Hits - Great way to say goodbye!,
By
This review is from: Punto (Audio CD)
OV7's final goodbye to their fans comes to us in the form of a Greatest Hits album along with 3 newly recorded songs. The CD is an absolute must, as it delivers hit after hit. True, fans of the group probably already contain the other albums with these hits (which aren't remixed or remastered) and expected a brand new album with new songs, but I prefer to think of it as OV7 recapping what made them so successful.
The CD contains all their hits from the albums "Entrega Total" all the way to "7 Latidos." Absent from the CD are songs from their childhood (Onda Vaselnia) as well as the first album as teens (and commercial failure) "Hoy." 1. Mas Que Amor - 4/5 - from "CD00". This tune is a bit repetitive but still a solid hit. 2. Mirame a los Ojos 5/5 - from "Entrega Total," this is one of their first hits! Using the dance rhythms from the mid/late 90s, this one definately is a must listen. 3. Love Colada 4/5 - from "7 Latidos". The beat is different, but the song is a lot of fun and the lyrics are catchy. There is an English version available, but this is the Spanish one. 4. Vuela mas Alto 4/5 - from "Vuela mas Alto" album. This one has a techno/eurodance rhythm to it and it's a solid hit. My only complaint is that it gets repetitive (the chorus) and the 2nd verse is sung pretty bad. Other than that, a must listen. 5. Tus Besos 4/5 - from "Entrega Total." Not too bad, more along the lines of rock. Great tune, except it is pretty short (running about 2 and half minutes long). 6. Te Necesito 5/5 - from "7 Latidos." Slow song. It reminds me of the Backstreet Boys music because the beat here is almost the same. However, the lyrics and music is much better than Backstreet Boys. Sung in a sort of duet, it's another must listen. 7. Volvere 3/5 - from "CD00." A sort of acoustic sounding slow song that begins with deep vocals. It's then somewhat ruined by many singers jumping in and the acoustic sound kind of getting heavier. I don't listen to it all the way. 8. Un pie tras otro Pie - 5/5 from "Entrega Total." It reminds me of Ace of Base music (The Sign) because it has that sort of beat. However, this works well with the lyrics and the result is one big solid hit. My only complaint is those awful sounding boys at the beginning and middle of the song. 9. Enloqueceme - 5/5 - from "CD00". Somewhat along the lines of Mas Que Amor, except this is much better. The vocals are smooth and the beat makes you want to dance. Probably one of their biggest hits. 10. Te Quiero tanto, tanto 5/5 - from "Entrega Total." This ballad is probably the biggest hit of their careers, a song which is still being used today in many weddings and such. This romantic ballad was also the theme song to a Novela called "Mi Pequena Traviesa." 11. Tengo el Control 1/5 - from "7 Latidos". I hate this song. It's weird and it doesn't catch my attention. 12. Shabadabada - 5/5 - from "CD00." Another of their dance smash hits, the lyrics are interesting and what makes me like this song is that it features mostly the 3 men from the group, especially Kalimba's smooth vocals. The video is also fun to watch too. Definately a must listen. 13. Aum Aum 5/5 - from "7 Latidos." Probably another one of their major hits, this pop/rock hit is very catchy and fun to listen to. It's definately a must for anyone trying OV7 for the first time. 14. Aunque muera por ti 3/5 - from "Entrega Total." This song is much like Mirame a los ojos. The dance beat is the style from the mid/late 90s. Unlike "Mirame a los Ojos," this particular song isnt as catchy or interesting as the other. Still worth a listen. 15. Jam - 4/5 - from "CD00." Another dance-like tune much like the late 90s style. My only complaint is that M'Balia sounds a bit uninteresting in this song. Also, the chorus tends to be a bit repetitive. Still a good listen. 16. No Es Obsession (Live)- 4/5 - from "RUSH En Directo: Live" This live version of their hit from the album "Vuela Mas Alto" gives a lot to the song that was lacking in the original. It is much more catchy, fun and it definately made this song worth listening to. 17. Calendario de Amor (2003 Mix) - 1/5 - from an album they released when they were the child group "Onda Vaselina." It certainly doesn't do much for me. 18. Volveras - 4/5 - Newly recorded song. Very fast-paced and catchy. 19. Te Tengo a Ti 2/5 - Another newly recorded song. Not very interesting either. 20. No Me Voy 5/5 - Another newly recorded song. This is a slow ballad, a sad melody about goodbye. It is their final song and the video is pretty sad. All in all, this CD is a MUST GET for fans of OV7 as well as newcomers. True, they may have split, but it's never too late to enjoy Latin Pop before all this hip-hop and dirty music replaced it. They came before RBD and other manufactured groups and they will never be forgotten.
