This is one of their earlier CD's, and they only get better with each new release! They are INCREDIBLE in person, amazing musicians, and some of the nicest people you will ever meet!!
I bought this one for my lending library.... can't lend out my precious personal copies.

This review is from: Flapjacks From The Sky (MP3 Download)
I got hooked on Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams totally by accident. I didn't even want to like their music. The name was too weird, they looked too strange, it just didn't feel right. I mean, I'm from the Baby Boom generation. I grew up listening to Buddy Holly and moved on to the Beatles and Dylan and Neil Young and Carol King, for god's sake. But one listen to one song from this band and they instantly spun my mind back to the '60s but with a new and fresh twist. I could hear elements of all the icons I mentioned above in their music. But also something fresh and new.
I set out to purchase all of their CDs, which I accomplished in one fell swoop. I filled up the CD changer and put on the headphones and lost myself in their music for an entire afternoon and evening. I haven't been the same since. I mention the band's name and get the strangest looks from my friends and family. Then I put on "Flapjacks from the Sky", tie them into a chair so they have to listen to the whole thing, and voila! A convert is born. Well, most of the time. But seriously, this is a great band. Maybe the greatest band working in America today. I'd take away the maybe if Phish decides to retire, AGAIN. And Flapjacks is their best CD, in my opinion. It's the one I'll always put on when I don't know what else to listen to.
