    From the Author

    More about Puppy:

What inspired you to write the puppy books?
Laura: I am sadly allergic to dogs, but I love them in small doses. I can write as many wee puppy books as I like with no sneezing! I have a digital puppy of my own finally (I do have fish, Poggle and Woggle: black moors). My father also has a black dachshund named Charlie. He is a little (BIG) character.

    Why a Pug?
Laura: The stories relate to Charlie, but the illustrations are based on the illustrator's pugs, Chloe and Buddy.
Daren: Buddy and Chloe are inseparable companions. Like most pugs, they are always looking for affection, tasty treats, and a bone to chew on. Their quirky personalities make anyone smile and are a good source of inspiration for the puppy tales.

What's in store for the future? Any more Puppy stories?
Laura: YEEHAW YES!!! More puppy tails to come :) Right now, I am doing up a story about a baby elephant and a butterfly. Thanks for reading all!!! We heart our fans.

My boys will really enjoy this book, it is unique and different in story. I can tell that Mrs. Yirak really does get an inspiration from her own kids; you can sense that in her writing!

I bought this to read to my granddaughter. We both found the book boring and lacked a good continuous story line.

I liked this book because you learn a lesson and do not let your puppy of the leash or your puppy will get lost. He was so lucky he did not loos his puppy.

    More About the Author

Laura grew up in Scotland and moved to the United States when she was eleven. She says, "I had the best childhood, playing my days away in the lowlands. There was always something to get up to, whether it was exploring some old ruins or running down to the sweet shop for a bag of treats, I won't forget it."

She spent her first two years in college writing poetry and started publishing in 2011.

Writing is her passion. She is always creating children's books drawing inspiration from nature and her two little ones.
