5.0 out of 5 stars Puppy Love, May 30, 2010
This review is from: The Puppy Place #9: Pugsley (Paperback)
The Puppy Place series is a lot of fun. Admittedly, Pugsley is one of my favorite. In this book Pugsley is in a home that has not taken the proper time to train him so he gets to be quite a handful. Lizzy Peterson is one girl who can see the good in him. She is one of five members in her family that have taken on the task of fostering puppies until they can find them a forever home. When Lizzy brings this particular puppy home, no one is quite prepared for the craziness this dog would bring with him. It seems almost hopeless that Lizzy will be able to find him a forever home before her parents can't take any more, until an idea hits her. An idea so crazy it just might work. If it does, she is sure to find him the perfect forever home.

I think this series is great for any beginning reader. There are boys and girls in the family and some books are mainly about Lizzy and others are more about the boy Charles. I have a son and a daughter and my kids both enjoy reading this series. Quite frankly, if you are a dog lover like me, I would grab my favorite child and sit down to read with them. Puppy love is for kids of all ages!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fostering Pugsley, September 29, 2010
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Puppy Place #9: Pugsley (Paperback)
Me (12 going on 13)and my family have never fostered one as crazy as Pugsley, but i can still relate. The author, Ellen Miles has definently done a good job writing her series the Puppy Place, All the dogs are cute. But this one his the spot. It's soooo funny. Like the time Pugsley grabbes the end of a brand ne toilet paper roll and drags it around the house. What a mess! or the time he ate all of the lemon scented bubble bath soap. And burped lemon scented bubbles all day long.

Lizzie is the only one who sees the potential in Mr. Pest as he is otherwise known of, and battles to save him before he ends up in the animal shelter. Still, nobody wants a puppy as naughty as Mr. Pest, the worst puppy ever!

Read this book from start to finish, and you won't stop laughing until you reach the back cover!

Pugsley (The Puppy Place)

I buy these books for my granddaughter who is 8 now. She loves to read because of books like these. I will continue to buy whatever books she wants because I want her to continue her love for reading and these books seem to foster that ideal.
