Nintendogs is a GREAT game. I got it for my birthday. When I first started playing it, I had no clue what to do. I had never played a Nintendo DS before so I didn't know what all of the buttons meant or how to save it, but luckily, I came across this book. It is great! First, it shows you the different breeds of dogs in the game, and it tells about the dog and shows the variety of coats and colors that can be shown in game animation. It also tells you what game the dog is featured in. (It doesn't matter though because you can unlock all of the breeds in all of the games.) It also showed two of the breeds that you can unlock. They are the Dalmation and the Jack Russel Terrier. In the next chapter, it shows you how to get started and how to choose your first puppy and train it and walk it. It shows you how to take care of it and do other things as well. It tells you information about the three competions, too, and what you have to do. In the section after that, it has questions and answers. It tells you things like what are trainer points, why does my dog keep biting me, etc. After that there is a big section that tells you everything you can buy, how much it is and its selling price. I was amazed at all of the variety from puppy princess to punk rocker dude. And some of the things have really high selling prices, the helicopters sell for $2OO.00 OR $300.00! If you find a gold bar, it will sell for $2,000.00! And then the last page tells you about bark mode. Overall, I am SOOOOOO glad I got this guide, it has come in handy for me and I'm sure that it will come in handy for any new Nintendogs player, including YOU!

This book i great it teaches you so much, but the thing is that all the stuff that is in the book you can find out really on your own, through the game. But i absolutley love this book, because i am a real dog lover, I absolutly love dogs and this book give informantion on the dogs in the game. Plus you get a sneek preview of what you can earn. I love this book it is so cool, so if you are buying for a kid, who has the game (or loves dogs) take this for me, because i am a kid. :)

overall this is a really nice book. it gives you an overview of all the puppies (where they originated, etc) and tips on how to care for your new sweetie. i really enjoyed the section on 'puppy problems'(earning money, nutty puppy syndrome, multiple puppy personalities, trick confusion, etc) and pet supplies (an extensive inventory of all the things you can buy or find in the game). i do wish it went over more than the basic tricks though :-) 4 stars.

This book was even more helpful than I imagined. It gives you background info. on the dogs and also shows you how to develop your dog into a champion. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is having trouble starting thier Nintendogs game and feels kinda lost.

This official Nintendogs guide is a very attractive book featuring profiles of all the breeds in the Nintendogs family of games. Each profile occupies two facing pages and you get two pictures of each breed along with a short description of their origins and characteristics. The second half of the book contains a guide to the game itself. Unfortunately, there's very little hints or tips. The game guide is mostly just an explanation of the various items and features in the game, such as where you can shop for your pup and how much each item costs or is worth when sold. A lot of the information is either obvious (you get discounts at the discount store, duh!) or inaccurate ("You should bathe and brush your pup every day" -- no, you should brush 1-2 times a day, but bathing once a week or two is totally fine, as with real dogs). You won't find any tips on how to make your pup real happy.

So, this book makes a good coffee table book and it's attractive enough to be worth $10 or so. If you are really into the game rather than the dogs themselves, though, you'd do better by checking out the various guides on gamefaqs dot com.

This book is really neat! it has almost everything you need to play the game. So DON'T go trusting '1 star' rating reviews, cause this book is awesome! It also has dog facts.

This book shows all the items you can get, as well as how much they are sold for. Included also are tips for caring for your dog and even pictures and biographies of the kennel puppies! This is one guide no Nintendogs fan wants to be without!

Pups: The Official Nintendogs Companion is just that...a companion! This guide shows all the different breeds in the Nintendogs game line. It also gives you tips on how to perform the different types of tricks in the game and gives an overview on the different things to do in the game! One other thing this guide showed was all the gifts/items you can get in the game either from walks, the discount store, or through bark mode.

My 10 year old daughter loves this book. It gives more information about the dogs and how to care for them.

I got one for my oldest son ... then decided to get one for my middle son as well. It is sure to help them learn all about the games and how to get the dogs they really want.How to find different items and how to go about training their new pals. Also tells how to find different breeds if you don't see the one for you. Details which dogs are from each game and how you can get them elsewhere. Lots of informative detailing in this book. Get it now while it is readily available ... before you can't find them anywhere. Happy training !!
