Product Description

Pura Kiki stainless steel bottles are the safe and environmentally conscious choice for your baby. Pura Kiki bottles and collars are crafted from highgrade stainless steel, are BPAfree, naturally antibacterial, lightweight, durable, and will not leach anything into your child's milk, water or juice. Pura Kiki because even BPA free plastic can leach chemicals because glass can break and chip because a bottle should work with your child's choice of nipple or spout, not the other way around because stainless steel is made from 60% recycled material and is recyclable Pura Stainless was created with a simple vision: to make a difference by responsibly manufacturing a safe and durable alternative to plastic infant bottles and toddler sippy cups. We bring a strong spirit of environmentalism and innovation to our products. We strive to eliminate plastic waste, fund progressive environmental concerns with our Green15TM program, and develop compelling new products that help make life safe and fun. Pura Stainless is proud to have been selected as one of American Baby Magazine's Top Products of 2012.

Overall for those of us who don't want plastic it's great!
Erin
Some of the bottle/lid combinations don't work together as the bottom of the lid will hit the bottle rim before it's tight enough to form a seal.
Rose
Overall we love these bottles-put milk in, run it under hot water and it's ready.

There is a learning curve with these bottles. For some reason the short bottles leak and the large bottles don't. I am leaving this review on the 5 oz bottle to let you know. The only difference I can see between the two sizes is that the inside band on the 5 oz is brushed stainless and the tall is still shiny. If I were you I would just skip the small size and just get the talls. Just order newborn nipples and save the fast nipples for later.
We still use the shorts when the talls aren't clean. You just have to make sure that the lid is on really tight and you will be fine.
We use MAM nipples with these, these are the only nipples our son will take, maybe if we used pura nipples or a different brand this won't be a problem.
I do like that they just came out with sealing discs for the bottles, then we use the 5oz to hold snacks or something.

After having experimented with other steel and glass bottles, I was looking forward to using this product for my baby. I have to say I am not much happy with the product. You have to ensure the lid is wound really well and tight so that it doesn't leak when you tilt it. This would not have been a problem if my wife hadn't noticed rusting on the neck of the bottle in the second week. This one thing renders it useless and is a dealbreaker for me. It could be that I got a lemon this time, but the price is a little too steep to keep experimenting until get the right piece.

this bottle is like the others of the same brand etc that ive ordered but this one the nipple that came with it was messed up. The writing started coming off the bottle after the first wash. Not a big issue but it is sticky & seems to be a type of paint. I recommended ordering the actual stainless still vs the colored bottles, you will be happier with the purchase i do believe

I totally love the feeling I get from this bottle! It is very easy to hold and my baby loves to drink from its nipple without any fuzzing around. He's really liking the flow speed it provides and he finishes every drop of milk I give him. Another pro is how easy it is to clean up afterwards. No hectic at all =) I'll most certainly recommend this bottle to all my friends and family #Two Thumps Up#

We are very disappointed with these bottles as we expected much higher quality. The paint chipped & faded very quickly. Some of the bottle/lid combinations don't work together as the bottom of the lid will hit the bottle rim before it's tight enough to form a seal.

Within the first minute of use, my baby was chipping the paint off of the outside of the bottle with his teeth. Perhaps a company which hangs its hat on non-toxic, plastic-free claims should consider their market and not use paint that will end up in a baby's mouth.

We bought this bottle as an alternative to glass bottles, but found out when we received it that the painted Pura bottles cannot be sterilized by boiling. This makes the bottle useless for the first few months unless we buy a sterilizer. It does fit the Born Free nipples and otherwise looks like a good bottle.

I love this bottle and probably would give a 5 but the front where the company logo is not even after a month of use was smearing off. Which worried me that my son would get on his hands & then put it in his mouth. I had to scrub it off completely , which I feel was annoying since these products are made for babies so things like this should be consider in the design. Otherwise I love this bottle it keeps everything nice & cold. It's easy for baby to hold, when my son drops it I don't worry about it getting damaged
