I first tried this coffee as one of three in the Pura Vida Sampler. The other two were good--this was perfect. I've since ordered more of this flavor. It is rich and smooth and delicious.

The first time I purchased this coffee from Amazon, it arrived not vacuumed sealed & I was not impressed with the taste, was flat & boring. I decided to give it another try (want to support small, organic, fair-traded Ethiopian farmers)... WORLD OF DIFFERENCE! All bags were vacuum sealed & packed inside another small box, so the seal would not be broken. The flavor is a tasty, rich, smooth medium roast... great for breakfast or anytime! Will buy again!

This is perhaps the best coffee I have ever had. I know that sound cliche, but it is the damn truth. The only coffee that I have found that comes close is Distant Lands in Tyler, TX. If you are looking for an amazing coffee any time of the day, make no other choice than this.

I have written a much more favorable review about Pura Vida French Roast blend. I'm not a fan of French Roast, but Pura Vida makes the best French Roast I have ever tasted.

I wasn't quite as impressed with their Ethiopian Sidamo coffee.

The highlands of Ethiopia were the birthplace of coffee, and they still make some of the world's best. Of course, the term "world's best" will always be in the eye of the beholder, but my three favorite distinctively different coffees all come from these highlands.

I have had better Sidamo coffee. Don't get me wrong, this coffee tastes good. It tastes very good, but I'm being asked to rate my one of my favorite coffees here. I drink the world's best Sidamo coffees on a regular basis as part of my regular diet. I've tried several different roasters' versions, and here is what Pura Vida's lacks.

Sidamo coffee is known for its earthy, almost chocolatey, undertones. My favorite Sidamos blend these undertones perfectly with the pureness of the coffee flavor itself to create a fantastic finish. With Pura Vida's Sidamo coffee, these undertones are quite mild, almost non-existant. Oh, they are there, but I have to search through the flavor to find them. While the finish is somewhat remarkable, it just lacks that initial punch that says, "Hey, I'm Sidamo!" In fact, I'm not so sure that if someone was to put a cup of Pura Vida Ethipian Sidamo in front of me next to a cup of Pura Vida Sumatran that I'd be able to tell the difference.

Pura Vida sells good coffee at a great price, but when it comes to Ethiopian Sidamo, I'll be switching back to my regular brand soon.

I really like the Ethipian coffee from Pura Vida and serve it to guests after dinner. I like it in the morning as well, although my daughter finds it too strong for the morning. Of the three that are shipped together this is my favorite and way better than the breakfast blend which I find a bit boring, yet a decent value.

This is by far the smoothest, heartiest, best flavored coffee I have ever drank!!! I love it so much that I signed up for a subscription for it. The perk (pun intended) of this wonderful brew is that it is a fair trade product.

Really, really good coffee. IMO, African coffees are much smoother than South American. It's well roasted, with a nice mellowness.
