Orchestration very controlled and extremely elegant perfect balance of emotion and tempi and highly supportive of the vocal line. Troyanos delicate and very moving. Stilwell very good. Palmer ok. The problem here is the Sorceress Patricia Kern and the first witch and spirit fair to poor performances, but this is only 10% of the total opera (approximately one CD track). For the price it is very worth it.

Lo mejor de este disco son, por una parte, un Leppard muy acertado en la parte orquestal y con un estupendo y fino sentido del "pathos" (huyendo de todo amaneramiento) y, por otra, una Tatiana Troyanos perfecta que borda su papel y que nos deja un lamento final absolutamente sublime y conmovedor. El resto bien pero "no se pasa". Seguro que hay versiones mejores pero ésta no deja de ser una digna y muy aceptable opción (a muy buen precio).
