Here we go again. This is the fifth entry in the famous "Pure 80's" series. But unlike its predecessor "Pure 80's Rocks", this compilation spotlights the decade's softer side. The tracks on this album were chart toppers on either the pop or adult contempory charts (or in some cases both). Some tracks can be easily found on other compilations (e.g. Spandau Ballet's "True") but some others are not (Sergio Mendes "Never Gonna Let You Go"). Considering how much it might cost to purchase these songs individually, this would definitely be a wise investment.

This CD of mostly love songs from the 80's is priceless! I especially liked I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight, Never Gonna Let You Go, On My Own with Michael McDonald and Patti LaBelle, and True : very passionate songs.

I've been searching for a CD to add to my collection of all those love songs that I remember from middle and high school. My favorite song on this CD is Sergio Mendez' Never Gonna Let You Go, which was the first song I ever slow danced to as a teenager. If you are looking for a single CD to bring you back to a time when you had your first slow dance, your first kiss, or your first girlfriend/boyfriend, then this one is for you.

The songs"Sailing"and "Never Gonna Let You Go"are worth the price of the entire album itself!!I listen to"Sailing"and nearly fall asleep,just envisioning,spending an entire summer,escaping lifes' hardships'sailing peacefully,through the Great Lakes,watching the sun glistening,off the waters' surface...."Never Gonna Let You Go"is a beautifully INTENSE and heartfelt love song!!Sergio actually takes a backseat(in my eyes)to whoever that husky/sexy-voiced woman is that he's singing with/to!!! This song is so"alive"with sincere passion,that I routinely play it at LEAST 7 times each day!!Actually the ENTIRE album is WONDROUS,so,I simply expounded on my two FAVORITES!!Everybody should own this disc!!When you get it,you can basically break of the "forward"button on your disc player,while you're playing this gem,cause it's HIT after HIT from the first track to the last!!

If you are looking for FILLER songs look somewhere else.

i love this cd, it also have great love songs, i always listen to it in my car or in my home. it brings back alot of great memories. i also recommend this if you like 80's love songs:)

Bought this CD 8 years ago at Walmart, lone it to someone and never got it back. I've been looking for this CD ever since. Thank you Amazon for reuniting us. Lol... I love every song on this CD and can hardly wait to get it 'again' so I can share it with my kids.

I love the mix of songs - real #1 hits unlike some CDs I know of. I am glad I purchased it.
