I agree with the other reviewer. I got them last night at Costco at a very good price. They are simply too high/thick. I'm going to go home and see if I can pull out some of the filling. Has anybody done this? For what I paid, I don't want to return since I used them, but I really need to fix them in order to use them. Update: I did pull out two basketball size lumps of fill from one pillow (it expands!). Now the pillow is the right thickness/height.

I bought these exact pillows at Costco (fortunately for much less) and was very disappointed. I had slept on a friend's memory foam pillow and loved it. But these were way too high & firm for me. I woke up every morning with a sore neck and upper back and as soon as I stopped using them it went away.

I think pillows are a very personal thing, but for me these were not comfortable.

I AM ORDERING 2 MORE! I have been wanting a foam type pillow that is not one solid foam piece, and this one doesn't have that. Also it does not have the curve that a lot of them have for the neck support, which I didn't want. These pillows have a shredded type foam that cause it condense and "re-inflate." I love them. Just what I wanted. Ordering 2 more! :))

Like other reviews this pillow is fine right after you fluff it up but memory foam tends to settle and compact to a firm texture. Now I see why the guy on the commercials for My Pillow is constantly fluffing it up. Another thing I don't like about memory foam is it doesn't come back fast enough when you change positions. I think the cluster idea is good but I'd rather have regular soft foam, even for a mattress topper. Anyway back to the pillow. I unzipped the case and found that there was an inner case that was sealed. One thing about memory foam is it has to be able to move. If you restrict it from moving it defeats the purpose. So, first thing I did was cut open the inner case and put the foam right into the outer cover, that made a big difference but it still settled into a rock. The next thing I did was to mix the foam with some styrene beads I had to see if it would keep the foam from condensing so much. Of course it made more than needed to refill the cases so I have some extra. That seems to have made the pillow more comfortable and it comes back to it's original shape faster. Over all I still like a good quality polyester pillow better.

The pillow is memory foam, but it comes in pieces. That is why I give it 3 stars. It is not so comfortable as a regular memory foam pillow.

Unlike the above, I love these pillows. I also got them at Costco, for less, but was looking for a firm pillow. They stay firm, which is what I was looking for. I actually use two at a time. I agree tho, pillows are a very personal thing! I would heartily reccommend these if you want a firm pillow.

I purchased one of these at a local discount store about six months ago and it has held up well (same manufacturer). So, I decided to purchase 2 more for Christmas gifts for my sons. These are just as nice, really comfy for a side sleeper. I was previously loyal to down pillows only but got tired of the cost and the eventual loss of stuffing so I switched to these and I couldn't be happier. I paid a bit more than I would have if I'd returned to the local store, due to the addition of shipping costs, but I am lazy like that so it was worth it. I have owned pure and expensive "memory foam" pillows before and I actually prefer this cheaper option over the fancy ones.

I purchased 5 of these 2 packs about 8 months ago to create sleeping pallets for my children. Only paying $10.94 at Costco for a two pack makes them extremely cost effective for this type of project!! As is, they consist of torn pieces of memory foam, sewn into a case, and then enclosed in a removable (zipped) pillow case. They worked great for watching movies or to sleep in our bedroom when sick, as the memory foam created a soft, but thick, surface for the children to sleep on.

I'm only giving them 3 stars, though, because you MUST PURCHASE WATERPROOF PILLOWCASES TO ENCLOSE THEM IN, which usually run over $10/pillow. Yes, they do come with a case already included, but it is NOT WATERPROOF, therefore the pillows themselves can never be washed. If you have NOT purchased the additional cases to protect it, you essentially will have a germ infested, allergy triggering pillow!!! Trust me, as I learned this the hard way when my young son had an accident while the waterproof cover was not on, and I tried to wash/dry them. The pillow blew up in my dryer, creating a huge mess and an EXTREME FIRE HAZARD! Foam was everywhere!! I've had to throughly clean my dryer, as well as the vents and hoses leading outside.

These pillows would be perfect if the manufacturer would have thought ahead, and made the included cover waterproof.
