5.0 out of 5 stars She's the greatest country singer i have ever heard-period!!, October 31, 1999
This review is from: Pure Country (Audio CD)
It seemes like she just disapeared from the earth. what happened to her. I loved to hear her. I stopped what ever i was doing or told everyone to stop talking and listen to that voice whenever she came on. no one affects me the way her voice does other than HANK WILLIAMS. She's in that class!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazon should carry THE BEST OF LACY J. DALTON, January 7, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Pure Country (Audio CD)
Headed with "Black Coffee" she sings her heart out on 10 great tracks. Country music needs to refocus on the many talents they currently over look.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most underrated singer in the world!, May 4, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Pure Country (Audio CD)
Ive said it plenty of times, and I'll say it again to anyone who will listen. Lacy J. Dalton is a national treasure, one of the best country singers-hell, one of the best singers, period- alive. Few popular artists give a better voice to the aspirations, dreams , and sorrows of ordinary people. I only wish she sold more records, and had a recording deal.

5.0 out of 5 stars COMPARING "Pure country" versa "Greatest hits" c.d., June 20, 2010
This review is from: Pure Country (Audio CD)
Here on this "Pure country" c.d. are 7 of the same 10 songs
that are on the "Greatest hits" c.d.

The 3 different are as follows -- "Pure country" c.d. has:
1. "Hillbilly girl with the blues" -- 1980.
2. "Size seven round,(made of gold)" (with George Jones) -- 1985.
3. "Working class man" -- 1986.

And does not have -- 3 songs that are on the "Greatest hits" c.d.,
which by the way are her first 3 hits.
1. "Crazy blue eyes" -- 1979.
2. "Tennessee waltz" -- 1980.
3. "Losing kind of love" -- 1980.

Its just a matter of which 3 are your personel favorites.
But all the songs are outstanding!

Both collections are on Sony label.
All are original recordings and sound excellent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lacy J., January 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Pure Country (Audio CD)
I am extremely happy with Lacy. I just wish that some of these personalities from the past were heard on the radio. I am not familiar with anything she has done currently.
