Product Description

Amazon.com

The 48 is Pure Energy’s entry-level air system. This system combines a compact bottle and the top-of-the-line Pure Energy Reactor regulator. The Pure Energy Reactor regulator has a preset output pressure set between 800-900 PSI. This air-system works great with any marker on the market, from Piranhas to Angels. Because Pure Energy Reactor regulators are now re-buildable, this system is one of the most user-friendly, screw-in air systems in paintball. On most markers you can expect to get 400-600 shots from a full fill. With the CFT piston and a streamlined setup, this air system is both extremely consistent over the chronograph and has very little drop off as you shoot the gas out of the tank (life of the fill). These are attributes sometimes found in much more expensive air systems packaged into a smaller, easier-to-use, screw-in system.

Tank works as designed. A lot of people are going to the 4500 psi tanks, but my local field only fills to 3000 psi so no need for a 4500 psi tank. Tank seems to last about 500-700 rounds so it will make it through a couple of games before needing a refill.

If you're considering making the transition to compressed air but don't play often enough to drop $150+ on the tank, this is a good option. In general, you will get 2/3 the amount of shots from a 3000 psi tank when compared to a same-size 4500 psi tank. For most recreational players, this tank will give them two or three games per fill. Advanced players, or people who go through a lot of paint, will want the 4500 tank. People using Tippmanns with Cyclone feeds and Response Triggers will also want to use the 4500, as the Cyclone stops working well below 800 psi and the Response goes through more gas than a normal trigger. If you aren't one of these people, this is a good crossover tank - it's roughly the same size as a 20 oz CO2 and has about the same life on the field.

I bought two of these tanks to replace an unwieldy 72ci aluminum tank. I've been using them for four months now to play local woodsball with some friends and have had absolutely no problems. These are perfect for me. The tank(s) perform as expected and do not leak.

Item received was not the item advertised. A lesser grade Pure Energy Tank was received (I read the part numbers off of the picture provided in the advertised description, of which was not the same as the item received) and the regulator on the item was not the Pure Energy regulator assembly that is on the picture description provided in the advertisement. If you order from Dorosports, be prepared to not get what you ordered!

I think that for the money, it is an excellent product. it works perfectly. if your a speedball player though, don't bother. It is heavyer than a 20 oz Co2 tank. but because i have an A-5 the wieght isn't an issue. if you have a tippmann... and your short on cash.... buy it now.

This is my first HPA (high pressure air) tank and this is what I noticed compared against CO2:

-Bigger Size: you are able to shot more balls, 500 shots or more, but it depends on the marker you are using
-Consistency: no freezing experience, more estable shots
-Cleaner: no residues, I've read that HPA is also better for your marker as the orings last longer
-Heavier: as the tank is bigger you can expect more weight or purchase a carbon fiber HPA for lighter weight
-PSI Gauge: you can check the amount of air you have in the tank

I would recommend that if an HPA tank is purchased, you should also buy a Fill Station to fill it using a scuba tank as compress air is not as easy to fill as CO2 as there's more CO2 supply than HPA, that depends on the area you're living, in my case the Fill Station is a must!
This tanks needs to be hydrotested every 5 years (by a professional), every tank has a date indicating when to perform it.
