I was so excited when I received it, but after watching it I was so dissappointed, nothing much to learn from the DVD. I only enjoyed his solo.

If you want to watch this guy jam and play fast, this video is for you. If you want to learn drum techniques, move on.

Just like my review heading, say's it all!
Tony Royster jr, is just a young amazingly fast and talented drummer!
He has awesome speeds, and can play different time signatures with a band.
He has mad skills, with the drums and the sticks.
If you have not yet seen him, buying this dvd would really help you to appreciate him.
You would be able to appreciate, just how great he really is.
You would be able to witness and see for yourself, of all of the vast amounts of talent this young musician has, in his motions and various skills on the drums.

very good performance by Tony.He really is a prodigy kid.If u r a tony royster fan then u will like the dvd. But education wise its not worth it.plus the content of this dvd is verrrryy less.If u want a good education dvd for hand technique, then 'Secret weapons for the modern drummer by Jo jo mayer' is by far the best option.

Well, we dont need to write lots of things do describe this DVD... The outstanding performance by Tony is heavly registrated on this DVD. He is a real genius and perform with a exceptional talent an excelent blend of songs and diferent ways of playing... simply rocks!

While Tony's playing is incredible, I was disappointed with the DVD. Not nearly long enough. He did break down some of his playing techniques, but I felt like I was left hanging. I guess you do you what you have to do your for endorser. Anyways, Tony is still amazing, nonetheless.

Tony Royster Jr is a prodigy. I saw a video of him on Youtube, doing a solo when he was only like 8 years old. After watching that, I came across this DVD and considered it a worthy investment.

In this dvd, Tony jams along with his band through 5 or 6 songs. The really cool thing is you can set it on the "alternate angle", which will fix the camera view on an over-head shot, split with a shot of his double bass drums.

This is a little pricey I thought for the length of material you get (about 90 minutes left me wanting more), but I continue to go back to this to study his technique and bring some of it to my drumming.

The Bottom Line: Definitely worth the price, for any drummer, especially if you lean more toward jazz/funk/fusion.
