Bravo! Pure Faith is a brilliant sophomore effort from Chris Berardo and the Desberardos. From the rocking My Turn to the two-step ditty Dance In The Moonlight, Pure Faith is enhanced by a variety of musical styles showcasing Chris Berardos fluid lyrics and the bands musical prowess.

In songs like Pass the Bottle, Out of Birmingham, Still Waters and The House On Water Street, Chris leads the listener on a tour of the roadside adventure that is his life. His prophetic lyric 'Cause I aint young, but I damn sure aint old,' translates into music edged with a new maturity and his fans benefit from the wisdom of his age and experience. Not that he has left youth behind. To be clear, Chris has not sacrificed the raw emotional edge that is the hallmark of his music for a more 'mature' sound, but he has successfully found a way to blend his sound into a more mature harness for songs that are focused and soulful, yet filled with delightful harmonies and memorable hooks.

Most important, Pure Faith brings the vitality of the bands radiant live performance to disc, allowing the listener to slip into the magical world of the Desberardos Live in the privacy of their own homes and cars. For the faithful, it is a quick fix between live appearances, for the uninitiated it is a glimpse into the bawdy experience that is Chris Berardo and The Desberardos.

Music touches us in different ways. There is something for everyone on Pure Faith, so put on your dancing shoes and pull out your box of tissues. Like your favorite tattered shirt or old pair of boots, let Pure Faith wrap around you until it is worn and comfortable, trying on each tune until you find that perfect fit. Let the music speak to you and you will be rewarded. Chris Berardo has found his voice, and as is evident with Pure Faith, he has a lot to say.

This CD grows on you! At first listen, I had two or three favorites. Now, I can't decide. The lyrics hit close to home with so many of the songs. And with others, I just want to get up and dance. Pass the Bottle is great, but so is Still Waters,Done is Done, You'll Know It's Me,Dance in the Moonlight..see I can't pick a favorite. I just enjoy listening over and over again! Chris Berardo is a very talented young man.Can't wait for the third CD.
