This product is strong and well made.

All of the bars require assembly using cheap screws that barely fit in the holes.

It works very well and fits my door frames great.

This seems like a nice, well-built product, but it doesn't fit thick door frames. I live in an old house with big moldings, and the door frames are 7-7.5" deep. However, this product only fits door frames with a depth of 4.33"-6.3", which is in the product packaging but was not stated in the online description.

(Note- the product packaging also states that the door frame width must be between 27.56" - 30.11".)

When I got it, I was a little intimidated by the fact that I had to assemble it, however, it came with easy to follow instructions and was simple to put together. I bought it without measuring my doorways, figuring that it would fit in at least one of them, and it fits on all of my doorways. You definitely want to use a doorway with a strong frame, as that's pretty much supporting your weight. The handgrips are very comfortable, but the ones that rest against the baseboards, have left black smudges that are very difficult to remove.

I was very excited to get this product- I wasn't even too discouraged that I had to put it together myself (I'm typically not very good with these things). But I was extremely disappointed when I found out it didn't fit my doorway. I realize I should have followed the measurement guidelines prior to purchasing, but I live in an apartment (standard everything) so I just figured it would work. NOTE TO OTHERS- MEASURE YOUR DOORWAY FIRST!
After I got over that issue, I figured I could still use it for push ups and tricep dips. Great for about one rep when the cushioning stopped working and all I felt was metal bar driving into my palms. That was more uncomfortable than the actual workouts!
I guess I'll still use it occasionally, but if given a second chance I probably wouldn't buy this.

When assembling the workout bar - I noticed that the curved bars did not match up quite right. They were off by 3/4 of an inch, and that warped the entire assembly. I exchanged it and hopefully the new bar is better.

I looked around for a basic pull-up bar I can hang on a regular door-frame and this fit the bill perfectly. Low priced, yet pretty sturdy, setting it up was a snap and I can now hang it up, do my exercises and put it back. Exactly what I looked for. There have been several concerns (not just this, but all bars) regarding the doorway being damaged. This bar has a soft (actually hard plastic like, but not metal) base which sits on the door-top and foam where it meets the door frame, so no harm. However, i do not see the foam lasting forever, At some point it will wear off, but thats fine, can be replaced.

The bar (as mentioned) is basic, so allows you do normal grip pull-ups and has another grip for doing chin-ups. It DOES NOT allow wide arm pull-ups, if that is what one is interested in.

All in all, very satisfied with the purchase.

I thought this would mount at multiple places in my doorway. That is not exactly true. It mounts at the top and bottom, but you can't mount it midway, to use while laying on your back (one of the big reasons I was buying this. BUT it is still quite useful, and it is very sturdy, which I was concerned about when I thought it installed differently.

The webpage says it fits all standard door frames (24-32"W). The package says 27.56-30.71", which worried me, because I measured my doorways to be sure it would fit, and they were within the website specs, but bigger than the package specs. BUT it fits just fine. All in all, I am satisfied with the product, even though it wasn't exactly what I was expecting.

The Pure Fitness Multi Purpose Workout Bar does what it is designed to do. On a standard door frame it fits and is sturdy enough. The problem was putting the workout bar together. It came with enough hardware (screws, washers etc.) but the screws really didn't fit into the intended holes. I had to re-tap two of the holes because the screws stripped out the threads. I also had to put electrical tape around the exposed metal part of the bars that meets the door frame. The metal was making black marks on the wood frame. I say just barely 3 stars but maybe someone who isn't prepared to re-tap holes and deal with the black marks on the wall would rate it lower.

This attaches to an average-sized door really quickly and easily. Even with the pads, it tends to leave marks and dents on the trim around the door from the weight pushing on it. The heaviest person in my family is under 150 lbs. so it doesn't take much weight to make marks. Also, if you can't reach it and have to jump (like me), you can dislodge it from its position and it can fall or it can clunk back down on the same spot and make a bigger mark on your trim. I'd recommend using a stool rather than jumping and possibly adding a towel or extra padding, especially if the pads don't line up perfectly with your trim.
