(Note- the product packaging also states that the door frame width must be between 27.56" - 30.11".)
The bar (as mentioned) is basic, so allows you do normal grip pull-ups and has another grip for doing chin-ups. It DOES NOT allow wide arm pull-ups, if that is what one is interested in.
All in all, very satisfied with the purchase.
The grips are also incredibly thin and fall apart quickly, and you will definitely need to tape some towels around them or something.
I ended up duct-taping some old socks around the parts that touch the door frame. That stopped the bar from making worse divots in the wood.
This would be a fine product if it had better grips. Maybe actual rubber grips instead of the bad and thin foam.
Once I released my hands, bumped the bar and it crashed into my head. Big thump!
Big bump! So be careful. Probably best to remove the bar when it is not being used.
However, I found that none of the door frames width (due to narrow walls on either end) fit this bar other than the door frame of my closet.
It works great in the closet but I'm halfway in the closet when i'm pulling myself up.
Make sure you have enough room before purchasing this pullup bar

Bought this workout bar a few years ago and it still works perfectly! I use it a good 3 times a week along with my workout buddy and it has held up very well!Published 6 months ago by Danny Dante
It broke after a year of use. The plastic part ripped and I fell on my butt. Ouchies. I only weigh 160 pounds!Published 10 months ago by hart
This arrived and after first assembly it was crooked, would not mount well and too expensive to ship and return. Read morePublished 11 months ago by Ciera
It works great as long as you have a standard wooden doorframe. I however live in a concrete house in southern California. Read morePublished 21 months ago by MR.Adventurous
It's a pull up bar and it works great, sturdy. I have it on the door in my garage, because it does leave tiny scuff marks. To be expected, works great and is strong.Published 23 months ago by Nick
