This is a very good latter day Jerry Garcia Band release. The band was still also promoting it's live album and the group seems to be in good spirits despite the recent deaths of both Rick Griffin and Bill Graham. In fact, the Grateful Dead had just played the memorial concert six days before. Jerry sounds very good at this show and the band is joined by Bruce Hornsby who was also sitting in at alot of Dead shows during this time. Bruce's playing here is fine and it complement's the sound really well. The show starts off with a cool How Sweet It Is which builds to a nice jam. He Ain't Give You None is decent if not the best they've ever done. You Never Can Tell was a new cover at the time and makes it's first released appearance here. Run For The Roses is very nice while The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down is a standout version. I Second That Emotion is once again, very good as is My Sisters And My Brothers while the then new, Ain't No Bread In The Breadbox is played at a breakneck pace.

The second disc starts with another then new song, the Van Morrison Bright Side Of The Road. An early Shining Star is next and is somewhat shakey. Waiting For A Miracle is a little slow paced here for my taste. Think gets the show back to it's highs. I Shall Be Released is very sweet while Don't Let Go rocks the house with some serious mojo. I'm always a sucker for Midnight Moonlight and this one doesn't dissappoint. What A Wonderful World isn't as good as Armstrong's but it's a pleasent listen to yet another song that was new to the set lists at the time. All in all, a worthy addition to your Jerry solo collection
