Pure, Lara Fabian's third album, was first issued in 1996. The lush production beautifully reproduces Lara's silky smooth voice. The songs showcase her impressive vocal range, from the haunting sound of 'Ici' to the dramatic heights of 'Perdere l'amore', a stunning live performance of an Italian song. The highlights of Pure are provided by the stirring 'J'ai zappé' and the African sounding 'Humana'. The album includes five highly successful singles, comprising the excellent album opener 'Tout' as well as 'Si tu m'aimes', 'La différence', 'Humana' and 'Je t'aime'. Pure is the ideal start to a collection of Lara's French material.

Lara Fabian has to be one the best power voiced Diva's in the world, joining the ranks of Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, and Lea Salonga. Her vocal strength and agility has to be compared to only the best! I recommend this album to anyone who enjoys good music with a great quality voice backing it all up! Even if you don't speak a word of French(I don't!) then you'll love this album! My whole family loves her and none of them speak any French AT ALL! Get this album NOW!

When I heard her voice for the first time, I can belive my lucky star. I was looking for excellent music and found Lara. Her voice is incredible and the sense of romantic passion that transmit make you hold your breath. If you know french you will find words with meaning and if you don't "parle francais" you will love it any way. I am looking for the music scores if you know where to find it let me know. Don't miss this album.

Absolutely beautiful French music and signing. No more need be said about Lara's simply romantic, sensual voice. I can't understand why we don't hear more about this la Belgique superstar?

Having lived in France for a number of years but gone for a good long while, I entered into a store in St. Martin asking for the "best" singer.

Lara Fabian was recommended.

Ce CD, c'est très bien. Les chansons sont excellentes. Presque chaque chanson a son thème. Ça me fait beaucoup de plaisir de les écouter. Je me rejouis de plus chansons de ce genre de Lara.

"Perdere L'amore" is so powerful, stirring and engaging that it made me learn some Italian to be able to sing it for Karaoke. My blood flows in my veins full of life. You can feel the essence of Italy in this song. You MUST see her perform this song in the PBS special, she is a world-class suave velvety songstress of a belter.

"Si tu M'aimes" gives me rushes to my head when I perform it to American crowds and especially to European who vacation to the States during the months of July and August.

"Ici" is a haunting journey on my way to my roots. It is simply a mega heavy weight of a ballad. It is a moving and wrenching piece of work.

This Album means so much to me. I hope that it will bring you as much satisfaction and joy as it has for me. No, if you have a blood pulse, YOU WILL appreciate this World-Class performer for who she is. I guarantee it. If you have a pulse, if you are not emotionally dead, if you have a heart, if you breathe... then it will force a reaction of wonderment for you.

I love this album! She is second to only one, Celine Dion! Her voice is so similar in range, pitch, power and strength. She commands the song so well! This is a highly recommended album!
