3.0 out of 5 stars Great voice but...
...a Celine Dion bi-product. She'll never be as good as Celine but a hell of a lot more better than most singers out there. I predict that Lara will be Sony's next pop diva. Bonne chance Lara.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vocal Pleasure, March 29, 2006
This review is from: Pure (Audio CD)
It is "Pure" vocal pleasure when you listen to this album. Tout, Humana, Je T'aime and Lara's beautiful performance of Perdere L'amore are all vocal masterpieces. Pure follows in the success of Lara's previous album Carpe Diem. Later prints of this album have Si Tu M'Aimes in the place of La Différence. The album is done in true Lara Fabian style: passion, emotion, excellent lyrics and a super vocal performance. The songs of this album are so contagious that you can't help to sing along. Even if you're an English fan, you will still enjoy this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! WOW! WOW!, December 23, 1999
This review is from: Pure (Audio CD)
Such a wonderful CD for musicfans who like artists with big voices! This tird CD from the Belgian-Sicilian-Canadian songbird is worth the price! All her last French hits like "Tout" - "Je t'aime" - "Humana" and her italian song "Perdere l'amore" really take your breath away. So go ahead, buy it: you won't regret it!

5.0 out of 5 stars a new voice new emotion of the french music, February 2, 2000
This review is from: Pure (Audio CD)
Lara Fabian is both from belgium and italy. She has a voice range that varies the sweet smokey bluesy voice to the strong soprano. She has this deep feeling in her voice and she puts all the emotion inside her songs. Compared to Celine Dion and Mariah Carey she has the same strength of voice butin addition she has this litle something that makes you chill when you listen one of her songs. She just recorded a new album called Lara Fabian totally in english and the first title of this album is called adagio a famous classic incredibly well performed by Lara Fabian. This cd is not on amazon yet but i think it should be here soon since it got released in November in France.

I am a huge Lara Fabian fan. While the title of my review is "Wish it were in English" I do have to say that Lara's voice is powerful, beautiful and fulfilling in any language. I finally purchased my first French CD by her, after I read that she lost her US record deal. While I cannot sing along to the songs, it actually makes me listen to her voice more closely. I continue to be impressed by her range. She does sound like Celine Dion (which probably hurts her), but her musicality it "pure" as the title of this CD. I look forward to buying more . . . and I wait patiently for her next english CD!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great album!, November 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Pure (Audio CD)
While hardly known in English-speaking North America, Lara Fabian is a star in the French-speaking world, and for a good reason: She has a beautiful strong voice and great songs. With the exception maybe of "Les amoureux de l'an 2000" this album represents a very pleasurable listening experience. Her smash hits "Tout" and "Je t'aime" are songs you can listen to over and over again. The rest of the album equally offers high-quality music. Go for it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply magnificent!!!, March 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Pure (Audio CD)
I was quite impressed with Lara's singing range and musical talent. Her voice is quite inspiring, even if she does sound a bit like Celine. But this young Belgium woman, who's making waves in Canada now, will be the next female superstar in the world if she can land a small break. This, her third CD, is clearly better than her previous two...I can only image now much better her next CD will be, and hopefully she won't keep us waiting long. She just gets better with time (like a fine wine) and experience. Bonne chance Lara!!!

"PURE" IS THE 2ND LARA FABIAN CD I BOUGHT AFTER HAVING DISCOVERED HER VIA HER SELF-TITLED ENGLISH DEBUT CD. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. ALL THE SONGS ARE EXQUISITE; IT'S HARD TO HAVE A FAVORITE. BENISSEZ SON COEUR!
