These are basically a handful of nuts, mixed together with some fruit with a tasty goo to hold it all together. They taste great and fill me up for hours. My diet is increasingly basic, so I tend to steer clear of power bars that are filled with mystery ingredients that have been powdered and reformed. You can see and identify every ingredient in these bars, they taste great, and they are pleasantly filling.
Primarily nuts, Pure bars are higher in fat than some of the other bars, but it's good, healthy fat from nuts, not palm oils so it's the kind of fat that your body actually needs to continue operating properly. If you don't eat tons of fat elsewhere in your diet eating a small handful of nuts is probably not a big issue for most healthy people - but don't take my word for it, ask your doctor.
I used to carry ziplocks of almonds around, but too often they just left me feeling unsatisfied. These bars nail both my physical hunger and my emotional need to eat something satisfying. I carry one in my computer bag for those days when I can't break for lunch.
