5.0 out of 5 stars Seeking Pleasure for your ears?, June 3, 2009
This review is from: Pure Pleasure Seeker (Audio CD)
Taken from the bands third album, "Things to Make and Do", Pure Pleasure Seeker is one of Moloko's best singles.

Like most of the tracks on the album, this song perfectly melds Moloko's quirky experimental style with great pop sensibility. This song is a highlight on an album that was the peak of Moloko's greatness.

The remixes are bit dated, but any Roisin Murphy or Moloko fan would still make the purchase.

All the album art from the main LP and singles were also very fun.

Don't hesitate, buy Pure Pleasure Seeker, as well as Indigo and my personal favorite Roisin song of all time "The Time is Now"

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing track after "Sing it Back" and "Time is Now", January 27, 2001
By
This review is from: Pure Pleasure Seeker (Audio CD)
Moloko, the duo, disappoint with this release. Essentially a mundane repetitive and thoroughly uninspiring funk groove, masquerading as innovative, thanks to a few wobbly effects, 'Pure Pleasure Seeker' plods along without ever really getting anywhere. Sure, Roisin Murphy's distinctive, sultry vocals are as effective as ever, but on the evidence of this it's easy to see why their most inspired work has been produced when they have been remixed by others.
