I needed a pure, 100% natural raspberry flavor for making flavored beverages. Artificial flavoring just does not compare to the real thing. I bought this extract to see if it really was "berry enough" for my needs..and it was. It tastes very potent. There is no doubt you are working with real berry concentrate. The liquid is deep red. There is no pulp or solids visible in the juice. I keep my bottle in the refrigerator because I don't think there are any preservatives in the product. Over time it could begin to ferment so don't buy too much at once.

Didn't like this at all. I have always used McCormick raspberry extract and love it. The store I shop at regularly stopped carrying McCormick, so after reading the review I went for it and took a chance. This one tastes nothing like McCormick and to me has a medicinal after taste to it. It also has a funky brownish color. This does not contain any alcohol just extract and glycerine. I thought maybe alcohol would help reduce the medicinal taste. I added Ciroc Berry flavored vodka to lighten the color and improve the flavor. That didn't help either. Won't be buying this one again.

This has good raspberry flavor but not as concentrated as some other flavorings so you need to use more to add the right amount a flavor to baked goods.

This tastes amazing. I make lots of cupcakes and cakes and hate using "fake" ingredients. I used this to make a raspberry buttercream frosting and it was awesome. It isn't as concentrated of a flavor as an artificial flavoring is so I used an extra 1/2 tsp per tsp the recipe called for, but it was so worth it for the real raspberry flavor. The color came out to be less red and more brown in the frosting, so if you are looking for the bright raspberry color you would need to add something else (raspberry juice or food coloring). All in all a great product that I'm sure I will be ordering again soon.

BUYER BEWARE! Although a 'raspberry extract' it does not taste like raspberries; reminds me of the smell for Japanese Beetle lurks. Over three weeks I have used it; and would send it back! VERY floral, nothing like a raspberry fruit. Bad business this; avoid it if your main intent [as mine was] to flavor tea.
