Dependably enough, she still loves rock & roll. But what makes this Jett's ripest outing in years is her timely and well-deserved status as Original Riot Grrrl. Rather than adopting the noisecore assault of Babes In Toyland et al., she sticks to a rockin' pop-punk classicism that still echoes with her earliest influences, Suzi Quatro and T Rex. The spotlight will rightly fall on the four tunes written with Bikini Kill's Kathleen Hanna (check "Go Home" and the withering "Spinster"), but the Jim Vallance-cowritten "Eye to Eye" and "Insecure" are also worthy.
