For Magicians & Mentalists ONLY!,

So I managed to buy a copy of this book at a book sale my local Library was having, it cost $40 :).This book is really for the Magicians & Mentalists. If your just a person who just wants to learn how Derren Brown does his tricks, or is just starting out in magic and want to learn a few tricks for parties and to pick-up girls, then move along, cause this book will disappoint you in many ways. But if your into Magic and Mentalism, and want improve your routines and add some tricks to your sets, then this has to be in your book shelf. There is a ton of information about Presentation, story telling. There is a fairly large section for Card based magic tricks, and a fairly normal size on Mentalism. The tricks in the book are great for Table-hopping/ cocktail parties and a few but not many for stage magic. If you are serious about Magic and Mentalism then get this, if not then it's best you head out to a magic store instead of feeling sad and stupid for spending so much money.

Derren Brown goes above and beyond simply describing the methodology of stunning illusions but also delves into extremely important areas for the practical magician: captivating an audience, making your routines more organic and natural, and getting as close as one can to "true mind-reading". Chock full of information for any serious magician or mentalist and definitely worth it if you can get your hands on a copy.

I bought a third edition, Ive heard all three are different in very small ways. If your interested in Derren's work its a must have...I can say no more..Buy your own...
