4.0 out of 5 stars A Must if you are considering a rescue dog January 3, 2007
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is just full of good information for anyone considering a rescue dog, or even just an adult dog to purchase. It reassures you that happenings are normal while also alerting you to anything that might need further study. I especially liked the case studies of actual rescue dogs and their happy endings.

5.0 out of 5 stars valuable information November 15, 2009

I have been fostering Mill dogs for many years and bought this book on a whim. I thought I had them all figured out. Well I did mostly but I still learn some new tricks that I could have used 30 years ago. This is the BEST book I have ever seen on saving and restoring these abused dogs.

Even though I have had many dogs, Tank was my first rescue dogs. This book was very helpful to read before adopting and in the first few months I referred back to the book frequently for helpful hints.
