I was a huge fan of the old 6 x 8 wipes and had hoped Purell would not discontinue them again. Alas, they did but did introduce this compromise. They are a much better wipe than the "economy" 5 x 7 size, but those were hardly more than restaurant-style moist towelettes. These have a similar feel to the old wipes, but are thinner and (obviously, given the listed dimensions) smaller. I will probably buy them again, but I find myself just using a travel size of the Purell liquid more as these wipes are not cheap.

I travel a lot. I'm in airports all the time. And there are few things more disgusting than air travel - the airport bathrooms, the airport and airplane seats, tray tables, and <gasp> the airplane bathroom. These are all just nasty places. I recently read a research study that showed that even the airport bathroom soap dispensers are often contaminated with viruses and bacteria because they're almost never sanitized. And if you need to be told that an airplane bathroom is a germ haven, you should skip this review.

These little packets are wonderful. They're large enough to thoroughly clean my hands and usually wet enough to also wipe off the tray table or airplane arm rests after my hands. One goes a long way! Once done I just stuff it back in the packet. The odor isn't strong enough to bother other passengers (at least nobody has ever complained).

I stuff a few in my backpack before heading to the airport. Current TSA rules allow these to go through security screening in carry-on without counting as gel or liquid.

Note: The box I received contains plastic-wrapped wipes. There are also paper-wrapped wipes but these tend to be flimsy - they break open in my backpack and dry out before I can use them. I recommend you buy this specific packaging with the plastic wrapping.

I love these wipes. The premium are large and soft. The individual packaging is great to keep a handful in my purse.

I do remediation work, and we require employees to be wearing nitrile gloves as part of their PPE. Consequently, they must be provided with either a hand washing station (not practical in the field) or hand wipes. These do a great job as you can leave the box at the shop and your workers can just stuff a few in their pocket or tool bag on the way out, for when they remove their gloves.

Liquid Purell is nice if you have no other options, but I have white hand towels at home that I try to change everyday...even after you rub your hands under a faucet with soap, when you wipe your hands on a cloth you get the remaining grim off (and it shows on the white hand towels.) I do not have huge germ phobias (I eat at Costco samples and push a dirty cart), but when you are at eating at the beach or in your car or taking a day hike: it doesn't mater if you start out grimy or finish grimy these wipes do a terrific job in making my meal/day more enjoyable.
