I bought 2 of these for my Coralife TurboTwist x3 pond sterilizer, correct fitting, correct wattage. Neither bulb would light, so I assumed it was the fault of the unit which was under warranty. Coralife sent me a replacement ballast but neither bulb would light in the new unit either. I went out and paid $30some for a coralife brand replacement bulb and sure enough it lit right up. Not sure how they've done it, but you can't use these cheap bulbs in Coralife UV sterilizers, so don't waste your time like I did.

Got this product in the mail today.

When I installed the bulb, the first strike was a little difficult, the ballast had to try for about 15 seconds before the bulb would stay lit, subsequent strikes have been much faster and the bulb works as intended.

I use this in a Secure Air SA1200.

The purely products website lists this bulb as being compatible with the Coralife Turbo Twist 3x..... well it's not. The size and socket are correct but when you plug it in and power it up it never turns on. I have tried 2 of these the first one I sent back for a replacement, thinking it must just be defective, well the replacement didn't work either.

Needed to replace an expensive lamp for Tetra Pond UV1 sterilizer. Works like a charm. Much cheaper than the other place I usually order from.

On the advice of one of the reviewers under the Germ Guardian branded UV bulb, I tried this Purely Products bulb, which is about 1/3 the price of the Germ Guardian bulb, and it's working perfectly. I'm betting these bulbs are a bit of a commodity and may well all be made in the same factory, but even if they aren't, it's still the right connector on the base, the right wattage, the right size, etc. And it's far less than half the price, so I'll definitely be ordering this again in 6 to 8 months, when it's recommended that these UV bulbs be replaced.

I purchase two of these item because it stated that it would work on
my secure air sa1200.
the first buld did not work,I was given the option of senting it back for a refund or replacement, but it cost more then I paid for the buld to mail it back.
so I did not bother since the second buld WORK just fine.
I thought about buying more as the price on amazon is about 1/2 cheaper
than other sellers, but they are no longer making the secure air sa1200
so in about 3/6 months,when the buld burns out, I'll just buy a newer version of an ultraviolet clean air machine or one with a HEPA filter

I can give no feedback on the product itself other than it is breakable. This item was shipped in a bubble mailing envelope. A light bulb in an envelope??!! It arrived on schedule but was shattered in to a million pieces. I just wanted to let everyone know that if you order this you will be lucky to get an unbroken bulb. I love Amazon and have never had an issue like this before. I hope they come to the realization real quick that you can NOT mail glass in an envelope, bubbles or not, and expect it to get to it's destination in one piece. On a positive note...upon receiving this busted bulb I immediately called the returns department. They kindly offered me a replacement but could not guarantee it would not be shipped in another envelope so I opted for a return/refund. The promptly sent me a return slip in e-mail to send the product back.

Installed the bulb in a Secure Air SA1200 air purifier. It repeatedly tried to start, but failed every time. Subsequently I ordered a Philips PL-S 9W/TUV bulb. A bit more expensive, but it works perfectly.

My pond looked greener and greener. A clear indication that the UV lamp did not perform as expected. Ordered the replacement lamp and after a week or two, CLEAR POND. i can see the bottom again as well as my fish. UVC in a pond helps to keep the algae bloom away.

Save yourself 15 bucks, or better yet get 2 of these and save some cash.Did what a 9 watt bulb should..
