This game takes the excitement of mexican train dominoes and adds a touch of Uno! It is super easy to play and the bold digits instead of dots on the dominoes make adding up the score a breeze. Very helpful in teaching kids to add and the companionship of friends and family is so much more valuable than time in front of the boob tube. I highly recommend this wonderful game!

Just a heads up in case you order before Amazon has resolved. This item is not in a TIN- at least not the one I was mailed, twice. I just received the second one today and now need to find if I can pick one up somewhere before tomorrow. Amazon did go to extra lengths to get second replacement order to me in time for gift giving, but this turned out to still be the wrong item. The first time I ordered 'opened box' item and thought substituting a 'like' item might be how that works, but second time I ordered New and received the same exact Item except it hadn't been opened. (I did note I was reordering because I specifically wanted the game in a Tin) This is the listing that both my orders continue to link to. That says to me that there is an error in this photo and description being linked to, what is the same game, but a different item: - also a Puremco Super Train - but in a vinyl case and with a different "station". I looked for, but have not found the item shipped to me in Amazon's list of available products. A similar black vinyl snap case is shown with a Double 12 Mexican Train from Puremco. I don't think the one I received would hold up well to the weight of these dominoes but an immediate problem is the station "features" Train and Chicken sounds when button is depressed with a separate slide button to stop the noise once triggered, but not to turn it off permanently. In my limited experience with the opened box item, the soft sided vinyl made it impossible to avoid this button getting pushed when trying to close and/or when handling the closed case. To keep from going off in the case would take an extra small Phillips screwdriver to get to and remove the battery.

I bought this item last year to take to our new vacation home, and I finally got my wife and friends to play it this past week. What have we been waiting for??!! This is one of the most fun group games I've ever seen. Even my wife, who has to be dragged kicking and screaming to a game table, couldn't get enough of it and wanted to bring out the game the following evening.
We have not yet played the "SuperTrain" rules, which add an element of UNO to the game, but the original game is more than enough fun. There are lots of rules out there, though, and it's best to settle on the variation you will play before you start. For instance, some rules allow each player to build their whole train, uninterrupted, before play starts. Other rules dictate that each player gets to place one domino at a time (except in the case of doubles). We found that to be the best and most interesting way to play.
Unfortunately, as others have observed, the 6 and the 9 are almost exactly the same color! What moron made that decision?? If you MUST make two very close in color, why not the 6 and ALMOST ANY OTHER NUMBER??
I can't wait to teach this to my daughter, her husband, and our grandchildren. There's going to be a lot of fun with this!
BTW, I went to my local craft store and purchased a large sheet of green felt to put on the table for playing dominoes. Get yourself one! It make shuffling easier, protects the dominoes and the table, and keeps the noise down to a pleasant clacking. I recommend it.

We purchased this game when friends came to visit who were avid Mexican Train players. We really enjoyed the new dimensions that the wild card dominos added to the game. It made the game more interesting by changing normal play with unexpected surprises. My only criticism of the game is that the numbered dominos (which are awesome to play with) are a little thin - just a tad over 1/4 inch wide - not as thick as some other "professional" sets. However, our group experienced fewer accidental tip-overs than I expected. Some players used wooden racks (which I really liked) and some just arranged their dominos in the usual arc in front of them. A really fun game with some new twists!

No matter your age (though probably 10+), this game is great fun!! We've entertained nephews and neighbors for hours on end with this game, and the rules and strategy make for more than just entertainment. Each person has their own domino line, a "train," that's protected on which they can build at any time. There's a free line of dominoes you can also build on -- the so-called "Mexican Train." But other players can really cause havoc with open doubles or blocking your move, and it may cause you to lose control of your train! :-) Good fun for all ages, but careful, time flies when you're having fun!

This game is great. The station has the train sound and the chicken foot sound. We are learning how to play the many options included with Super Train. We already liked Mexican Train using the dots and coins because we didn't have trains. Now we are getting used to numbers, wild dominoes, chicken foot, trains and domino trays.

Some people complained about the color of the 6 and 9 being so similar. Yes, it was a stupid move on the part of the manufacturers but the 6 has a line under it so it won't take you that long to remember to look for the line to determine if it is 6 or 9. Hopefully they will change the colors. It is still worth it to buy the game.
