I bought this set because I enjoy playing Mexican Train with friends. The dominoes are not as thick as indicated; the tin came quite dented up; the score pad that was supposed to be included had been replaced by a pad of thick cardboard; and the colors of some numbers are so similar that you cannot tell them apart without counting the pips (there are too many shades of reds). The game will still be fun to play with my grandchildren, but this set does not have the quality of the one that we usually play with. I am glad that I did not buy it to give as a gift.
Those things being said, it is still a good value for the price that I paid. I would have paid a bit more to get the thicker dominoes if I had known these were so thin, about 5/16 inch so that they fall over easily.

This is an entirely overpriced, poorly designed and inferior version of good old dominoes.

The "tin" is just that--too flimsy too adequately hold the heavy tiles and accessories for travel.

The hub is worthless, using three button batteries that were not working. When replaced, the sounds that should be heard are weak and create no excitement.

The vendor has received a complaint and has not responded, even to say that they will provide no credit for any portion of the $68 purchase/shipping price.

Go buy a double twelve set of dominoes and instructions for the real game, Mule Train, and forget the extras.

The Mexican Train/Chicken Foot game is a must for the family. So simple that the 7 and 5 year old love to play. Just a warning the game can get long so they must be able to concentrate for long period of time! But as a whole it is a wonderful game for the family.

This game is a lot of fun.....we love it. I had purchased one on clearance a few years ago at a toy shop and had never played it. Then my father, who loves to play dominos, had a stroke. Playing regular competition dominos became pretty difficult for him. I thought of Chicken Foot and we began to go over and spend an afternoon each week playing with him and my mother, and another disabled friend of ours. It started out to be just a way of allowing them an afternoon of fun and fellowship. But I soon fell in love with the game. I purchased one for my father for Christmas, then recently purchased this set for our travel trailer. Each summer we go on a group camping trip, where we always have a time of table games each evening. I am really looking forward to playing with the whole group this summer. We have not played the Mexican Train portion of the game yet, but everyone tells me it is at least as much fun as Chicken Foot......maybe more. We will have to try it soon! You will not be sorry if you purchase this game.

We have thoroughly enjoyed playing and teaching Mexican Train and Chicken Foot to our adult children and grandchildren. We have hilarious fun and have given them as Holiday Gifts. No batteries, no worries about toxic materials and teaches strategy and sportsmanship.

I really like this game pkg. It has several domino games in one Tin box, even a solitary type game, if you what to kill some time but your alone. Comes with a sturdy plastic base used to stablize the core of the two domino games of Mexican train and Chickenfoot. This base comes with little train game markers and plays a train whistle or a rooster crowing depending on which game you are playing. I'm very happy with this purchase and have recommended it to friends.

The Mexican Train/Chicken Foot Domino Game is SO MUCH FUN!!! My whole family fell in love with this great game. My 3 year old niece and 4 1/2 year old nephew have become total pros. The game also includes instructions to play other domino games but we have been so into the Mexican Train and Chicken Foot games, we have not tried anything else. I would definitely recommend this game to everyone. :o)
