Her coat is shiny and she is very happy.

Not a big deal, at least not until I got to the cans that were dented so badly that they had lost the seal.
Eric
The quality of the Pro Plan seems to be better than most of the lower or medium priced canned foods.

My poor old guy is a large breed and we are coming to accept that he's probably not going to be around too much longer. He's been eating less and less dry food, so I thought I'd try some high quality wet food to get more calories in him.

This food is great, his demeanor has improved, he's stopped losing weight, and it looks and smells like real food (not goopy slop). I also tried a can of the Pro Plan senior/sensitive stomach in salmon flavor and that was actually his favorite. I didn't see it here on amazon though (which is okay with me, because I'm not a fish fan).

I have a huge dog and if I fed canned it would be six a day. I buy fairly inexpensive canned food to give him a can a day over his premium dried food. I can hide medications in wet food that I can't in kibble. I've tried a number of canned foods, really only worrying about taste as it makes up a fraction of his overall nutrition. The most recent try has been the Pro Plan and it seems to be the one he wants. I tried something else last night and he sulked. The quality of the Pro Plan seems to be better than most of the lower or medium priced canned foods.

My 4 month old Chihuahua puppy, along with my older Chi, loves the food. I started buying this for her on my Vet's recommendation because of the years of studies that Purina does on dogs and cats. My vet likes that she can call and speak to a representative from Purina if there are any questions about the food. That was good enough logic for me! I get so confused with all the high protein no grain stuff out there, that I can't really afford for my 5 dogs. I do want to buy them the best though, so I feel pretty good about feeding her Purina after discussing it with my vet.
The pup came to me with Giardia, but with a week of meds and the food, she is all clear. I don't know how much the food had to do with that, but she tolerates it very well, even when she was sick. I do warm it for her after it's been in the fridge (because, you know, she is just a baby!). She is doing very well on it. She is healthy and growing "big" and beautifully. Her coat is shiny and she is very happy. The cans came to me just fine, quick and in great shape. Hopes this helps!

We feed our older dogs a mix of dry and wet food, and find this Pro Plan Canned Dog Food, Senior Beef and Rice Morsels in Gravy to be the perfect balance. We have one large done (Chow/Lab mix) and one small dog (American Chihuahua), and this Purina product is absolutely prefect for both of them. Nothing too good for our best friends, but this comes pretty close.

I own a large breed Caucasian Ovcharka female. I travelled for a couple of months and my dog minder was feeding her on some other dog food.

On getting back, I found that my dog had lost weight and had not transitioned properly in size from pup to adult. I researched and fed her a mix of several pro plan mixed with dry food. My dog loved the food and happily ate the food. Within a short while, my dog had gained weight and size , her hair was silkier and she was more alert and playful.

The cans were slightly smaller than I expected but the packaging was good. The can is easy to open and there is no need to use a can opener. I wish though that Purina had included a plastic lid as I usually mix the meals and would not finish a full can.

Product came in time and was exactly what I ordered.

Highly recommended.

I didn't look at the case of dog food when it arrived too carefully. When I started to feed it to my dog I found that half of the cans were dented. Not a big deal, at least not until I got to the cans that were dented so badly that they had lost the seal. It was all moldy at the top and I had to throw those ones out. My dog does love this, but then he loves all canned food I have given him. I bought this because it is one of very few canned dog foods that are meant for puppies, and it was one of the most affordable ones too. I was disappointed that the food comes all ground up in a paste. Some of the adult Purina canned foods have actual pieces of meat and rice that you can see (there is usually a picture of what it looks like on the back). I have also read up on some of the ingredients here and I am going to switch to another brand with better ingredients and with ingredients that I can actually see, even if it means feeding my dog an adult formula. Purina isn't bad, but if you can afford to spend a little more there are much better brands out there.

I rescued some beagle-dalmatian-retriever mixed pups 6 months ago. This canned food is medium priced and they liked it. The problem was that my local chain pet store sold out of this particular food because they had adoption-fests every Sunday and recommended this to adopters. I had to go to two stores to get a week''s supply. I eventually did my research and discovered a higher rated canned puppy food that is about 33% more expensive but is always in stock. This food is fairly priced and thee dogs liked it, but its nutritional rating is average.
