In the tradition of "Dirty South" rap, South Park Mexican brings us more ghetto tales with humour in his lyrics. Production is reminiscent of Master P's Beats by the Pound (Medicine Men) and DJ Paul/Juicy J of Three-6-Mafia fame. Shadow Ramirez and Happy Perez provide some bass-heavy drops for our hero South Park Mexican and his Dope House Records labelmates. I hope SPM blows up on the national scene, because it really is a shame that good gangsta rap like this coming from some Latinos isn't being heard more outside the West and South West regions.

......If you dont know, you better ask some body. SPM aka Carlos Coy is given little credit 4 blowing open the doors for latin rappers down south. He should and probably will be ranked with Cypress Hill, Frost, Big Pun, and Fat Joe for their contribution to latin hip hop. But any ways about the album itself I was impressed with his last one "3rd wish..", and less than a year later he releases the compilation "..THE PURITY ALBUM." This not just a compilation album like Dre's Aftermath album and all the other compilations that make you want your money back he knows how to flow and the beats are slammin, you wont be disappionted. Infact you be anticipating his next one because after all this is almost like a dinner that satisfies but the main course hasnt come yet. But never mind all that this album is a must have.

spm & dopehouse,

this album features many artists affiliated with dopehouse records, namely south park mexican. definately not spm's best release, but still good. i really like the fact that there are a bunch the dopehouse artists on it. there is a version of this album that comes with 'the dope game', an aditional cd with a game, some music videos, etc. on it... pretty cool.

south park mexican does it once again!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Purity Album (Audio CD)
south park mexican aka spm comes out with another tight album with his hit single "you know my name". i think this album tops all of his albums cause he's got a little something for everyone and the beats and lyrics are off the chain. the only disappoinment is there are only 7 tracks that spm raps on, the rest are just other rappers, under his label dopehouse records. spm is worldwide now, with his distribution deal with unversal records so he's gonna blow up big time. spm's gonna drop another new album later this year called "time is money" so look for that one.

South Park Mex does it again with his Dope House Army, the song You Know My Name got me into SPM, and 1 tight cruisin' song is Rollin' for cruisin' in your Cadillac Seiville or 6Deuce Impala. South Park Mex duz another hard & heavy H-Town hit We Did Dat, and how can a nigga like me forget the song Whatever You Do!
Best songs off The Purity Album are 1, *2, 3, 4, 5, *6, 7, 10, 12, *13, 14, *15, 16 & 17.

I picked this Album up a while back. Usually I listen through it and throw it in my Alpine and go cruising. This Album I listened to it through and it was somewhat dissapointing. If you only buy one SPM album, make it "3rd wish" or "Never Change"
