5.0 out of 5 stars total autopsy doss!, January 14, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Purity Delusion (Audio CD)
I bought this on vinyl back when it came out, which must have been 1989 or 1990 (a re-release of it on cd appeared in 1992). An absolute classic -- worth it if only for the classic intejections of Mick Harris when he gives comical shout-outs to Barney Greenway (then Benediction) and Danny Lilker (then Nuclear Assault). This is very heavy, grindcore style, and an interesting change of vocal style for Mick Harris, who is known for his japcore yapping on 'From Enslavement to Obliteration', 'Peel Sessions' etc. Mitch Harris gives his Righteous Pigs vocal style here, but growled down a bit. First track has a killer heavy riff to start things off. Nice artwork, especially the crop duster, and band photos are classic, I especially like the cheesy kiddy bedroom pics with the posters. You can just imagine Mick's dad coming in and saying "turn that sh*t down, turn that bass down, that's stupid, what kind of vocals are those???"

5.0 out of 5 stars Killer Grindcore/Death Metal side-project from Napalm Death, January 23, 2003

This review is from: Purity Delution (Audio CD)
Basically what you have here is a side-project of both Mitch Harris and Mick Harris (no relation) from none other than Napalm Death. Musically it's a lot like the Grinding fury of Righteous Pigs(Mitch Harris' band before he joined ND) meets the dirtiness of Master meets the blast-beat-o-ramma of "Harmony Corruption"-era of Napalm Death with what sounds like ex-ND lead singer Lee Dorrian backing-up the vocals. Overall, it's pretty much just standard killer Grindcore/Death Metal. Totally reccomened for fans of Terrorizer, Righteous Pigs, Extreme Noise Terror and of course...Napalm Death.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pounding!, September 23, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Purity Delusion (Audio CD)
This is one of the heaviest albums I have ever bought. Its like a grindcore extreme death record with really deep growling vocals..If you are into extreme music, you might find this album enjoyable. If you are searching for something melodic, deep, insightful then go look for something else.
