Quality filter for a great price,

This review is from: Purolator PL14610 PureONE Oil Filter (Pack of 2)
Got this for my Honda. This is better than Honda's own OEM filter now that production has been moved to Honeywell/Fram. It's just sad that Fram has become so popular and dominating even though it has consistently been the worst filter brand.Lets all be happy that we can still buy a quality Purolator filter at what is an excellent price! Oddly enough, this PureOne filter was cheaper than the regular Purolator filter.

PureONE Top Rated,

This review is from: Purolator PL14610 PureONE Oil Filter (Pack of 2)
I did an extensive study on filters for my new Yamaha FJR1300 and the PureONE came out on top every time. It is modestly priced as compared to the competition and Amazon has the best deal ($5.88/ea and buy 6 for free freight). An equivalent filter from Yamaha doesn't exist. The OEM filter uses a paper media with paper end caps and the Purolator is comprised of three different media; paper, fiberglass and polyester. The PureONE has more pleats yielding more surface area for your buck and filters below 10 microns. The anti-drainback valve was superior as well. The Yamaha OEM filter costs twice the price and doesn't filter the smaller particles. Although the PureONE filter is blue and my bike is Black Cherry in color, the difference in color is acceptable for the benefits. I have switched to synthetic (Amsoil MCF) after the first 2,500 miles and now feel confident that my bikes internals will last a very long time!

Different color filter? Don't Worry!,
By Cane Nectar "canenectar" (FL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Purolator PL14610 PureONE Oil Filter (Pack of 2)
I was perusing the reviews and came across one that gave this excellent filter only one star. All because it came in a different color other than the advertised blue. I have been using these filters for several years on several different make vehicles. They truly perform their job. The reason for the different color is that Purolator has improved their filter container and it is now in a textured matte yellow. The texture makes it easier to grab when oil has come in contact with the surface. So it is now actually, a more rugged looking, easier to handle filter at a great price. Thanks Amazon for another great product available through your site.
