I got my new kindle right before christmas this year and I ordered this Hard candy case to provide some protection and to keep my kindle fresh without lots of fingerprints etc.

One of the really nice things about this case is the texture. It is hard plastic but has a soft feel to the surface almost like rubber. This allows me to maintain a firm grip on the kindle cuz of course I am scared I will drop it! I think this layer of plastic around the edges will help protect from an impact if I do drop it.

The color is really great, a very deep green. The other colors look great too. At first I thought it would be too bright but it is perfect. Very easy to assemble--just snap on!

Oh and the foldable stand is a great feature. I e-mailed some recipes to my Kindle and had it standing up in the kitchen while I cooked.

I have the latest generation 6" Kindle. The feel is nice, but it doesn't close and fit properly on one of the corners. Cheap - and I don't want to deal with their customer service. In fact, the case came with a card that said if "you are not completely satisfied with your purchase... we kindly ask you to not leave a comment, whether it be negative or neutral." Seriously?

I love this color!I have the green one. The shell fits very snugly. I use it in the kitchen when I am cooking from a recipe I have on my Kindle. I like the idea that the stand snaps flush with the back of the case so it does not break off. The one thing I'd be critical about is that the description says this stand is adjustable. It is NOT adjustable. But the angle is a good one for reading while on my kitchen counter, so no complaints. Keep in mind this is a shell, and does not cover the screen or the keyboard. So be careful when using in the kitchen so that splatters do not hit your Kindle. I will probably other another one of these because the price is great, the colors are awesome, and it reached me super fast. Oh...one other thing. The skin looks metalic, but has the feel of rubber. It won't slide out of your hands. The grip is great.

I really like this cover for the Kindle. I feel it will give some more protection if I should ever drop my Kindle and it definitely helps keep the while Kindle clean. I love that it has an adjustable stand in the back. When I am out eating by myself it is nice to be able to stand it up to read and eat at the same time. I also discovered when you are laying in bed if you put the stand up it balances it more so you do not get tired holding the Kindle. (I got that idea from another reviewer!).

Case has a hard time staying clasped. Has a good feel to it. easy to hold. Offers little to no protection for any vital parts of the kindle. I was under the impression that this case came with a hard clear screen protector, but it had no such thing. Nice to have a stand, but not a huge fan of this case. I'll stick with my original leather kindle cover

I really like this hard cover with the adjustable stand. Having the stand is great. It is easy to use and looks good.

Try as I might, I could not get this thing to fit. I pushed and pushed and eventually cracked it. Do yourself a favor: If you buy this and can't get it to fit, don't try to force it, just send it back for a refund. It's very pretty (the green is a beautiful emerald-green color) and seems to have a relatively sturdy construction, but no point in buying it if it won't fit. Don't know how the other reviewers here got it to work for them. I have the Kindle 2. Maybe mine needs to lose some weight, LOL.

Great protection for my kindle, in an attractive way. The hard shell is easy to put on and remove, feels and looks great! Love the colors!

Not crazy about the color, but love the case. The stand is great for several reasons. 1) Fits right into the opening in my steer wheel so I can eat my lunch and read hands free 2) use it to secure my hold while reading in the tub. 3) Great overall protection. Highly recommend!

This is a nice idea, but isn't made very well. The snap-on case doesn't snap closed at the top. The catches don't meet properly.

Despite that, it does work. The stand is sturdy and creates a nice way to hold your Kindle in the reading position if you need your hands free.
