I literally devoured the book in two steamy sessions,I could have done it in one, but I felt the uncontrollable need to satisfy my desires. I awaited the arrival this book with hot and eager anticipation and I wasn't dissapointed. It was absolutely mind blowing stuff. Everyone, lesbian or straight, male or female will absolutely love this, it is without doubt the best of its genre that I have read and almost as soon as I had finished I needed to tell the world about it. I have always loved Zane's stuff and can recommend Succulent: Chocolate Flava II and in a different style, but equally hot and sexy 100 Percent Erotica. Brilliant stuff, take it to bed with you and read it to your partner and forget the problems of the world.

Doesn't matter what the color, all undergarments come off just as easily in PURPLE PANTIES, the newest book from renowned erotica writer Zane, author of best-selling books Addicted and Chocolate Flava. This time, she focuses her view strictly on the ladies in this anthology of 26 lesbian tales of passion.

One of the highlights of Purple Panties is women discovering the delights of the female sex for the first time. This is portrayed in stories such as "The Finest Man," wherein a feminine security guard is tantalized by the masculine individual at her workplace, even after realizing he's really a she. Syreeta then ponders what her attraction to the stud says about herself, because she's ready to give it up - no matter what the gender.

As expected, Purple Panties has the no-holds barred escapades that blaze with undeniable chemistry. That's provided courtesy of "The Purple Panty Revue," as Jay meets the faceless neighbor that's haunted her fantasies for the past few weeks; the surprise is where they finally encounter one another - and what happens next.

Purple Panties proves more than provocative, worthy of getting your underwear damp. The only objection is that some stories seem to stop abruptly, and I was left wanting more. Yet I love the fact Zane is bringing lesbian literature to a mainstream black audience; in fact, she's planning to publish a sequel to Panties early next year.

And I, for one, will be happily waiting - because Zane always knows how to put it down.

There are all types of scenarios that depict sexual preference nowadays as the freedom of expression has extended to the bedroom, and everywhere else to display such liberations between women making love. The release of yet another anthology of lesbian love does nothing to hide the fact that stories of this nature are being produced to satisfy both a growing genre and a lifestyle that is prevalent in our society. Best-selling author and literary guru, ZANE has a new compilation worthy of her reputation - Purple Panties. There's no other color that readily whets my appetite than the color purple. Coupled with the catchy cover photography, by-passing this book will be hard to do! For the most part, the stories are provocative and tend to leave no holds barred, which has always been the mantra that the editor has exhibited in her own writings. Nevertheless,options relative for inclusion run the gamut from tepid to sizzling hot in this set.

Reading the stories I couldn't help feeling like a privileged spectator looking through the windows of a world created especially for me! Ask me would any man find something that would change his view of uninhibited love and reckless abandon with license for liberal pleasure, and I'm sure there would be vociferous views for more. Each story had points of contention for the individual author's penchant for quality and means to elicit excitement. I have my favorites - namely PLEASURES by Elissa Gabrielle; Allison Hobbs' THE PRIVATE ROOM; and JACQUIE by Jolie du Pre. You will undoubtedly recognize a few authors here that are no strangers to erotica, but with typical anthologies you will also find some stories better written than others. There's a good mix that doesn't take away from any perceived negative for the most part.

Turn the tables, close your eyes, and do away with the stereotypical notion that usually permeate your mind about sex and who's administering it, and you won't be disappointed in how page-turning delight can REALLY excite. There's no room for player-hating. Interestingly enough, I didn't read this book verbatim...I derived pleasure by randomly reading when I needed something to drive my senses to another level after dealing with a long day at the office. All I had to do was envision purple panties dancing though my sensibilities to color my world! Add this book to your collection of erotica. Anything with ZANE'S input is a winner!

Zane does it again, a red hot collection of erotica.What an aphrodisiac this book is, it would spice up anyone's sex life, and if it's spicy already, then wow. My husband read it and it turned him into a rampant bull elk. Although the stories are of a lesbian nature, everyone, gay or straigght will love this book. What more can I say but brilliant, brilliant brilliant. PURPLE PANTIES is a compilation of erotic lesbian short stories comprised by a diverse group of authors. The stories vary in writing styles, but the emphasis being on the sensuality of females who know how to please other females.

This anthology has 26 stories, including one by Zane. In the preface, Zane is clear to state this is a book of "hot" stories and it doesn't matter that it is lesbian erotica, sensuality is sexy no matter whom one chooses as a mate. The stories ranged from random sexual encounters, to those women realizing, for the first time, what was missing from their previous relationships. Some of the stories contained literary prose as other went for the more contemporary vibe to create scenes of pleasure for the women. A few stories were quite different, including Sydney Molare's "Uma" about a young woman whose husband found a nursemaid for their son because the woman was unable to breastfeed. The young mother found watching the child feed arousing. Or the exhibitionist take in Joy Bringas' "Miss Julidene's Sexy Items." There was also the story of a young African female whose sexuality was not the only secret she held.

If you are a lover of erotica, you will find several of the stories in this anthology sensual, captivating and alluring. However, PURPLE PANTIES should be read with openness so one can discern the diverse nature of the writing by each of the authors. Some of the authors were able to write a complete story with all one's emotional senses mesmerized. Some well known erotica authors are included in this collection with a second edition soon to come. Not all the stories will have the reader's rapt attention, but most are well-written and deliver the right about of sensuality without being unpleasant.

I am currently reading this book and i found myself reading another book in between time....This book has some very good stories like "Pleasure" and "Miss Julidene's Sexy Itmes" but overall it lacks passion. U can definitely tell that this was not written by Zane herself because it's lacking in some departments. I like the book but i don't love it, it could really use more catchy and vulgar stories to catch and HOLD the readers attention.

All of the stories in this book read like Creative Writing 101 assignments. The stories were uninteresting and unrealistic. The writing generally lacked style, appropriate pacing, flow and all of the other elements that make reading enjoyable rather than a chore. I recommend skipping Purple Panties.

Open your mind to this new compilation of short stories by Zane and her crew as they explore lesbian erotica. This book is filled with stories forcing you to visualize, imagine, and lose your inhibitions. With graphically described sex scenes you will definitely feel the heat pouring off the pages. So sit back read it alone or with someone, light some candles and listen to some smooth jazz, because this book will definitely get your motor and everything else running.

One of my favorite stories was Miss Julidene's Sexy Items by Joy Bringas. This well penned short story hit on the voyeurism in us all. Opening a sex store in a small town named Atherton, Julidene tries to make the people of that town express their innermost secrets and walk on the wild side. While business was slow it was at least steady, but when word hit the streets that Julidene is giving public shows and demonstrations of the toys she sells the town suddenly shows a great interest in what is for sale.

This book is for everyone who is not afraid to keep an open mind, interested in different things and looking for a way to escape without being completely exposed.

I recommend this book to erotica readers as well as Zane followers.

THIS BOOK WAS VERY HOT AND STEAMY. ZANE NEVER DISAPPOINTS ME. HER BOOKS ARE ALWAYS VERY GOOD. PURPLE PANTIES IS VERY HOT. EVERYONE SHOULD PICK THIS BOOK UP AND CUDDLE NEXT TO SOMEONE SPECIAL AND ENJOY THE HOT WET FUN THEY WILL HAVE WHILE READING THIS BOOK.THANKS ZANE

I am not a lesbian and these stories were hot. I went to buy "Honey Flava" and ended up pick both up. I didn't read the excert on the backcover I just purchased both books. Got home and read "Honey Flava" and then I started on "Purple Panties" that when I noticed that it was lesbian erotica. Well what the hell I paid for it. From begin to end the stories were captivating and extremely well written. From romance to down right sexy. Well worth the money if you are open minded. So if you are a closed minded indiviual please pass. But if you enjoy good reading whatever the topic its woth it.
