I planted these to use as a topical ingredient in appetizers for parties. While they have been very successful at sprouting and have been growing steadily for about three weeks, they are not quite as purple as the photo. They are somewhere between green and purple. Very neat though and would buy again.

This is orach, sometimes known as mountain spinach and will get 6' tall. Not everyone knows that. It's very good, but nothing like what most consider spinach.

I bought Black Knight carrots, Purple Passion spinach, Purple Dragon carrots, Lunar White carrots, and Italian Lacinato kale - I did not receive them after a month and received a prompt refund from the seller (thank you) - Yesterday I received the package which had been emptied. The Dept of Agriculture had seized the seeds and replaced them with a form letter. These seeds come from Singapore and their import is illegal.

Planted in pots early spring in Maine.
Certainly one of the tastiest spinach varieties I have ever had..
I will be purchasing more from here this winter to be fully prepped for next spring!
Very pretty in pots, and has done very well.. Bugs haven't been hitting it at all, yet eating other plants next to them..
No bitterness whatsoever, and I eat it raw minutes after harvest!

I received the small padded envelope four weeks after placing the order. It came from Singapore. I'm not sure that's even legal...? I had no idea those seeds would come from abroad, sorry if I missed that. Now, if this is supposed to be Orach, and Orach seeds are round and flat, then the ones I got are not Orach, as they are all kinds of shapes, some irregular shaped and spiky, just like spinach, actually. I'm sorry for being so distrustful, but I don't think I'll plant these.

I remember purple spinach in my mothers garden in europe when I was a child, and was tickled to see it here at Amazon. My order arrived quickly with bonus tomato seeds (Yay!) The seller is accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended.

Seeds sprouted in 8 days. Plants are strong. Growing some in pots and others in the garden. Still young but plants look healthy.

This is a very pretty plant. If you like purple it would probably make a good decorative plant. It seems hardy. I have it in containers with compost and potting soil. There is a portion of a container that is bare but I can't tell whether that is the seeds' fault in not germinating or mine for missing the spot while sowing it. But, that is a common issue and that's why we get to replant in those bare areas. It is easy to grow - just needs water and a little nitrogen booster in the container.
