For the dollar or two extra, this leather bound issue is worth the choice over the hard cover version. The quality of the journal is excellent. I am glad I odered it and not the regualr hard bound cover.
This journal goes perfectly with the book The Purpose Driven Life. At the top of each page it gives you points and questions to ponder/answer. There is plenty of space to write your answers to the questions in the book as well as record your own personal feelings and questions about the book and God in general.
If you are looking for a gift to give a friend and they already have the book this is an excellent gift choice, especially for someone who is reading the book by themself. It helps you keep track of your thoughts and feelings about each section of the book. This journal is the perfect companion to the book and a very reasonable price through Amazon.com.

This journal is a wonderful accompaniment to the text by Rick Warren and can be easily used in a book study format or for daily devotions and reflections. It allows one to reflect on the principles in the book in your own words, responding to questions and Scripture verses. The book itself is beautifully bound leather and presents an elegant appearance.

"The Purpose Driven Life" was reccommended to me by (of all people) my mother. And a pastor-friend. And another friend (a seasoned Christian brother).

I logged on to Amazon to order a copy for my fiancee so that we can work through the book together as I'm just finishing my first time through and have been very surprised at the negativity other Christians have flung at the book and its author. I just don't get it.

The book is doctrinally sound. Well-written. Engaging. Humorous at times. Profound at others. It does an excellent job of taking themes from God's Word and showing the reader how to better infuse those principles into their lives.

I find it very sad to see Christians biting at one another in situations like this. Satan is the one we need to be rising up against, not fellow Christians preaching the Word and helping other members of the family of God live their lives more fully.

Oh...and I'm putting my money where my mouth is. I'm ordering the Deluxe Journal for my fiancee as well. ;-) And one for myself, maybe. :-P

My husband and I are reading the book and writng in our journals as part of preparation to discuss this book and I find it very useful to get my personal thoughts down on paper before we discuss and before we pray about these chapters. The chapters are short but very pointed and it is good to take the material and personalize it before moving on. It helps me be accountable for what I think God wants for my life and the things I need to change to come into God's purposes.

I think this is a big plus to have while reading the purpose driven life. It is a great way to journal your experience with the book and has mirroring scriptures that go hand in hand with the chapters of the book - get it if you can because it makes the process even more meaningful and rich.

Wonderful study enhancement. Beautiful to look at and wonderful to hold, this journal is the perfect compliment to the book.

When used with the book "A Purpose-Driven Life" this journal is wonderful. I can write my feelings down and then later when God works in my life, I add to it. Thanks for sending this journal so quickly and in great condition. God bless and keep up the great work.

I bought this journal for my two daughters.They liked it so much, I decided to purchase one for myself. It is a great daily devotional.

The journal was a awesome companion to the book The Driven Purpose Life. It was packed with scriptures. It was a little bit limited on space to write but over all it was a very nice addition to the book and with the leather cover and golden edges, it was quite attractive

I bought this journal for a couple of my friends and they absolutely loved it...great gift!
