Purr-ables from Heaven is simply a marvelous book, whether one wants to read short amounts of it daily or in larger sections, because the writing and insights are so eloquent either way. If you love cats, or any animals, and want to know more about life in both its joys and sorrows, this is a wonderful collection of true stories about the authors' cats, which correspond to deeper truths for humans. It is also a very affordable book to give as a gift to family members and friends. With its delightful title and appealing picture of a cat on the cover, one is not surprised to discover that the three authors can make us chuckle at times. However, they also write sensitively about such profound issues as the loss of those closest to us, and the gaining of faith in God. As I was typing this, my cat knocked over a flower vase full of water on my dining room table, and I recalled one of the stories which reminds us to be patient with the shortcomings of our cats, and of the people in our lives, as well!

When a mutual cat lover friend gave me a copy of "Purrables from Heaven" I thought what a nice addition to my cat library. I found myself really looking forward to bed time so I could read at least one of the stories before having to turn out the light. The stories stayed with me....I would recall them at a later time when something would remind me of what I had read. I began marking certain "purrables" to read to my weekly Bible study class. Even those who were not "cat" people really enjoyed the stories. A friend who has a children's Sunday school class ordered several copies. Another friend has a day care place and several of her children really love the stories that are read to them.

Animals can teach us sooo many things if we are alert to their actions and sounds. I would recommend this book to people of all ages. Once, many years ago, while mourning the loss of an unusually intelligent and loving dog that I had for more than 15 years, I asked the Pastor of my church if animals went to heaven. He told me that he thought that they did indeed go to heaven because they give us so much joy, love and companionship that God must welcome them to heaven the same as people. That made me feel so much better. Well, I am 71 years old now...and I am convinced that they really do go to heaven.

I treasure this wonderful little book. Could there be a sequel...or perhaps a "Purrables II"?

This book made me laugh, cry and nod my head saying, "That is so like my cat."

Purr-ables From Heaven is all that its title says it is... devotions for Cat lovers, and there is even some room for us dog lovers too.
The authors pull you in with stories of their beloved friends and draw us into God's loving lap!
Each story is endearing and entertaining. Purr-ables From heaven is a devotional guide from the 4 legged friends who share our homes and hearts.

This is a beautifully written book with warm, inspirational stories. Makes a nice gift for people you care about!

i have a cat and really believe that there's a lot you can learn from your cat. :) this book tells cute cat stories, and relates them to our daily walk with God. great book for devotional time!

I have a copy that I take everywhere with me and I gave a copy of this one and Paws from Heaven. I find them very comforting and uplifting.

I bought this as a present for my two daughters for Christmas, so I can really say as to the contents. They both have cats, so I wanted something personal for them. I hope they enjoy it.

As a cat lover, I was looking forward to reading this book. I was very disappointed as it was not at all what I expected. I will be donating the book to my local library.
