Review

I found Joan Cartwright's autobiography to be fascinating and engrossing with an impressive photo collection of musicians who have touched your life.

I am so proud of Joan for what she has done with her life, since we first met three decades ago. I especially admire her discipline in doing the hard work that has resulted in publishing an important resource book -- specifically, her process of becoming the consummate singer/entertainer that she is -- generally, the book's value as a guide for how aspiring singers can survive and succeed in the music business.

I have known Joan Cartwright for over 25 years. When she told me that her book was finished and was to be published,I could hardly wait to buy it and read it, as I was so proud and excited, too.

In Pursuit of a Melody is an insightful journey through the life and musical experiences of Joan Cartwright. She has skillfully painted the pages with an in-depth and detailed pallet of colorsthat could only be brought forth through her vast experiences. The way in which she has interwoven the titles and lyrics of songs throughout the chapters is just ingenious and, of course, her compositions are diverse and soulful.

Joan Cartwright is a mother, performer, singer, traveler and writer of music and books. She has a most wonderful story to tell and share.

Hi, Joan,

I'm so proud of you!!! Your material is very well done and I'm finding your book fascinating too!

I am really impressed with the hard work you put in to complete it.

Congratulations,

Wow! There is so much knowledge in this book. It is a music textbook. I'm finding it very informative and I love all of the pictures.

The CD is different! Pop Music and a couple of other tunes didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the CD but they work, nonetheless!

Joan's book is entertaining from beginning to end. I could feel the warmth of her family history and hear her singing in the songs she wrote. I could hear her voice singing "A Woman Knows". I must say Joan could not have done better, for it's her, all the way. I applaud Joan and wish her luck in all her travels on this earth, for we only pass this way once.
