5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing mix of modern tribal funk and chant!
Mind-blowing percussions, ominous deep grooves, eerie rythms and killer chanting (often by children!) is only a brief description of the type of sounds that emanate from AHC. I've owned this disk and Songs of Praise for years and their vibes are timeless. Check out Heading to Glory, Pursuit, and Animal Law, for strong tribal intensity or try One Destination, Somebody...

2.0 out of 5 stars In pursuit of what?
I tried to like this CD I really did, it seemed the hype is what sold me on it. ON U Sound's AHC, is at best a hybrid of things, but roots reggae is not their forte. They seem to walk a fine line of ambient dub, nyabinghi sounds and chants. However, with all that fine mixing, I still felt no real depth to In Pursuit.

I've owned this disk and Songs of Praise for years and their vibes are timeless. Check out Heading to Glory, Pursuit, and Animal Law, for strong tribal intensity or try One Destination, Somebody Touch I, Mama Shante Garden or Kumasee for a slightly more traditional Caribbean sound. Overall, a very strong cd.

(REAL NAME)
This recording from AHC is not what you would categorize as roots reggae, but it's not dub either. However, this is the case with every single On-U Sound release. Although a lot more polished than My Life In The Hole In the Ground, this CD still has the power to exorcise the demons out of you by its chants, rhythms and sonic guitars. A masterpiece.

It sounded like alot of tribal mix matching with splashes of reggae in it. Not exactly classic material here.
