Christian Romantic Suspense, August 29, 2011
This review is from: A Silent Pursuit (High Stakes Trilogy, Book 3) (Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense #172) (Mass Market Paperback)
Gina Santino's fiancé, Army Ranger Mario Anthony, has died in a military traning accident - at least, that's what Gina has been told. Mario told her if anything ever happened to him, & then weird things started happening to her, to go to Ian Masterson. Having people try to kill her twice - that's definitely weird in Gina's book! So Gina calls Ian. Only Gina isn't sure she can trust Ian, even though Mario has said to go to him - didn't Ian abandon the team?
Mario knows the real reason Ian left - because Ian's in love with Gina too. As Mario closed in on his investigation, he knew he could die, that the mess would end up in Gina's lap, & that she would need Ian to help her not only sort out the clues he's left behind, but also protect her from the danger chasing & closing in around her.
I loved this very fast paced, action filled story, my favourite of the series so far. Although 2 books precede this one, featuring Gina's sister Marianna & brother Joseph & where we first meet Gina, you don't need to have read them before this one.
Other books in this series:
#1 A Silent Terror
#2 A Silent Fury
#4 Protective Custody
#5 Missing

Christian Romantic Suspense, June 29, 2011
This is book 3 in a 3 book series. You don't have to read the books in order as they each deal with seperate characters and seperate stories. It's just nice to read in order for the character development. Although this one I didn't know enough about the characters to tie it too closely to the other two until about half-way.
It's got some good suspense and I never was quite sure who the real bad guys was, although I had my suspicions...yet they kept changing. Of the three I think this was least predictable when it came to the suspense aspect. It's good, clean Christian romance/suspense. No language or sex.
If you don't like the mention of God or faith, you won't like these books. However, I never felt any of the 3 were preachy. It's an easy read, yet keeps you interested the whole time. This book could have almost stood on it's own from the other two.

Character counts!!, October 15, 2011
A Silent Purauit by Lynette Eason is a fantastic Christian romantic/suspense novel. It is the third book in this series so you also get the bonus of catching up with past family members, however, it could be read as a stand alone. This book is action packed from the very beginning. Ian also has the character, morals, and values that you hope all men have - definitely worth reading.
